IMO if the Chinese wanted to supply arms to the Taliban, Y-20s would have landed in Peshawar/Quetta, not Karachi.

This explains why there is excessive focus on women in Afghanistan now, it was originally marketed in the west as a female empowerment military mission in Afghanistan to get support of the liberals. twenty years later, neither the female empowerment happened nor the military mission, hence the over the top damage control so much so that the western news coverage doesn’t care if afghan men live or die.
In other words they are trying to close a twenty year old narrative loop.

West is slowly learning about Pakistan's double game

They are not slow learners damn it.. The Americans have been running the world's most powerful empire in history for 70 years.. Its been more than 15 years since US establishment knew what Pakistan was up to.. These US think tankers just act as if US is innocent in all this.. But, the cold hard fact has always been that the US would rather cede Afghanistan to the Taliban and face humiliation, than punish Pakistan. As @Ayushraj said, the US still depends on Pakistan to keep India unbalanced. US also wants to have some proxy influence in Central Asia ( given bad relations with Iran and Russia ) via Pakistan

Fair comment - it was not clear to me what you were saying. My apologies.

I rarely watch US news networks owned by people with particular political leanings because so much that is presented as news is rather editorial posing as news. Where US domestic political news is concerned Fox and CNN fall to the level of being propaganda organs. I don't like being denied objective reporting if I watch a news station. I want to hear the news.
