If we can’t even fight and defeat a rag tag terrorist group like the Afghan Taliban then there is no point in talking or even mentioning about Akhand Bharat or PoK. People need to stop the doti shivering and think clearly. a Bullet will kill a Taliban terrorist just it will kills a porki or a trashmiri terrorist. Afghan Taliban isn’t an invincible enemy like the camel pee drinkers and Leftists try to make them to be. They have advantage in there own turf because it’s ranks are filled by Local Terrorists but against Indian Army which has controlled J&K Region Since 1947 they are nothing but children. Afghan Taliban won’t directly challenge India on PoJ&K but might send it’s cannon fodder covertly to support Porkistani Terrorist Groups.
Point here is we need to do what we have to secure POK? But what we are opposed is sending Indian Troops to Afghanistan. ( Afghanistan is worth nothing, Cost of sending Troops to Afghanistan, exceeds the costs of Minerals available in Afghanistan). Indian Soldier should fight India's Wars where its own Interests are threatened? As of now Our Interests are in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Let us take that alone, leaving rest of the world for others to fight. Afghanistan is not India's War.
Again I repeat Indian Soldier is served better trained for some Hitech Conventional War in the future rather than securing an Afghan Out Post in Pakistan Afghanistan Border.
We need to be realistic about our capabilities, Our forces are not expeditionary, We are trying to develop some sort of Expeditionary but still a lot needs to be done.
Again for members who demand troops to be sent to Afghanistan, We can analyze a few battles
( Battle of Kamdesh, Battle of Wanat) in both the battles, US Army and Marine corps were bailed out by US Airforce who responded within 15 minutes of start of attack, Still Taliban managed to over run camp perimeters very fast, 1) US Airforce A-10 Aircraft and F-15 Aircraft were scrambled quickly from Jaladabad and Kabul, 2) US Army AH-64D apache helicopters were also scrambled, In addition to this M777 guns provided artillery support.
Deployment of Troops to Afghanistan will need the resources of all three services, let me quote one more example. After Camp Bastion attack in Afghanistan were a few aircraft were destroyed, US marine corps temporarily requested US Airforce to deploy a few Aircraft which was rejected by USAF High Command. US Marine Corps had to pool their own Aircraft for support missions.
Me as a Indian Want our Soldier to be trained to Capture POK, Equip our soldiers with latest Small Arms, Vests, Want to have best tanks, Infantry fighting vehicles, Best attack Helicopters.
Let me add a few more Incidents, many times Afghan Local people protested IN front of US Bases and ransacked a couple of bases for some Incidents happened in Europe which was against their religion ( dont want to elaborate in this thread), within no time momin became united, No of schools, Hospitals, Roads built by US was quickly forgotten, No of medicines provided by Western World was forgotten.
