India needs to step up its game, and host Amrullah Saleh by giving him political asylum. That's the best chance I can think of to have future leverage. Also double the investment in Afg, that will win the hearts

Pakistani Pashtuns, unlike Afghans, unfortunately are not that big on Pashtun unification.

That's a good summary and partly it's because of the sh*thole Afg has been. If Afg grows with its economy, it's a matter of time when you will hear about the unification from Pak Pashtuns. So with the current Afg government, I say game is on for the future

He was not talking about saving Kashmiri Muslims, but Indian military casualties..
That's the price India has been paying since 74 years to make sure that not one territory slips out of Indian hands, inspite of so many insurgencies.. And will continue to pay.. Not a problem for India.. Just have to make sure that we neutralize the jihadis sneaking into Kashmir with as few own military casualties as possible, and equip every one of our soldiers and CRPF / Police deployed for counter insurgency with the best equipment.. and surveillance assets..

It's not the Momins though, it's the river origin points that matter. Independent Kashmir or Kashmir under Pak control will block water flow. OTOH if we capture POK, we can severely fuck their agriculture.

They need Chinese investment. That is the factor I am worried about. But Chinese also need return on investment, not sure Taliban inspire that kind of confidence. Still, China has some cash laying around, they can use it to buy the Taliban for a few test drives, I think.

China primarily cares about central Asian trade route, as long as they can guarantee that, they will invest I think. They just need their Pakistani slaves to push Talibs in that direction. If they learned from the BLA fiasco, they will hire local Afghans and just provide the money to prevent problems. We'll have to see how this plays out.

This will remain a pipe dream for some time. It's not due to lack of ability from the Indian armed forces, but I dont think any Indian govt has the testicular fortitude to go through with it and then there is the "log kya kahenge" concerns of some BJP mahatmas. This may only happen if the duffers in GHQ Pindi do something really really stupid even by their standards.
