They are thinking its some kind of bus or train where they can just sit on the roof and travel .. Imagine wind hitting u at 200kmph . I think most of them are tajikh or hazara .. many former govt officials . Taliban used to bomb kabul and other cities before .. There seems 2 be a wild fear due to this .
Most of them are young men looking to migrate to the west to enjoy the open "meat" and free wellfare there. I'm sure they have heard good stories from the ones who made to Europe a few years back.

No no nothing like that.

The airport has been overrun and flight operations disrupted. A lot of our staff is still stuck in kabul as taliban has established check points in and around the airport and is stopping everyone from entering the airport. So we are stuck as of now.

If US manages to clear the area and operations resume hopefully l we will get everyone back.
Probably India was treading on US Intelligence report of 90 days Kabul fallout.

Again a reactive country of ours not Pro-active.

Always a last minute run to catch the train.

This is how foreign journalists look in Kabul now

CNN journalist Clarissa Ward before and after the Taliban takeover of the Afghan capital. She used to be a popular reporter covering the political situation in Kabul. And today the Taliban asked her operator why he took the woman with him. Now the hijab is literally vital for her.

Its one thing to make women wear a burkha, but not allowing make up, that too for someone who's on TV? Oof!
Anyways brave of her to stick around.

Not really, nearly all our evacuations has been like this all last minute because even if we do before many Indians will simply not leave like for last three weeks government has been shouting about leaving afganistan but our people just don't listen till the threat is of them being dying, I think it's in Indian blood to do everything last minute.

Pakistan never wanted US to completely abandon Afghanistan.. They wanted a composite government in Kabul, with Taliban having the lion's share. But, Taliban emerging as the only player with total politico-military sway, with ANDSF dismantled, ISIS-K severely weakened, was not what Pakistan Army had bargained for...
Pakistanis have never been consistent on any thing. Not even their favourite Kashmir cause. Why they flip and do summersaults is still not understood by me.

My one theory is that they first see Indian reaction and then start working on exactly the opposite. I can give many examples on it but that will derail the thread.

On Afghanistan, you are right that they wanted a composite government but that was always a cliche like they want Kashmiri right to self determination. They hang on to such con slogans to hoodwink larger global audience but in reality they wish misery and chaos for everyone. Like an evil man with an evil eye always cursing others. Last time they entered Kashmir they raped and looted Kashmiris. Then they infiltrated slowly to bring doom and destruction covered up by local Mosques and street goons. The crime against women in Kashmir shoot up exponentially in 90s. The very first thing they do in Kashmir will be to snatch their water and replenish their drying rivers.

Same thing they have done to Afghans. No wonder Afghans spit on their faces like Bengalis of East Pakistan. They are the only recognised military which pulled our mass rapes and still went about its normal existence decorated with self minted medals and awards.

They have ravaged Afghanistan with IEDs and political instability. How they allowed Taliban and AQ etc terror organisations run their illigimate enterprises is well known to the world.

They are hub of counterfeit currency, drugs and human trafficking hitting many countries in their vacinity and far. FATF is dark grey slap on their face visible from miles.

How they proliferated nuclear bomb technology and then made AQ Khan the disgraced fall guy need no mention.

The list goes on and on.

To conclude, the situation in Afghanistan will remain fluid and turbulent for years to come. Even under previous government backed by IASF there were regular attacks and insurgency. India for sure is in contact with multiple player and will remain active to stay relevant. Taliban will not only seek legitimacy but also funds and independent decision making in accordance to their code or morals.

There is nothing in the world that can not be bought. Pakistanis are free to out bid us. Let them spend their IMF money. We will make sure their candle burns from both the ends.

This is not resistance to Taliban.. This is just posturing for better terms of surrender..
Northern Alliance has the support of Russia, Tajiks and Uzbeks just like the Taliban has the support of Pakistan.

The current surrenders are happening because of lack of supply lines and inevitable seize that is going to happen.

Possible that the Russians will arm the NA to keep the Taliban in check.
