Ok , so what next for the world
China and Russia .. Have won the shadow was with US , Russia can be now satisfied as US loss was more spectacular than Soviet as media will play these events for enternity
China is now the world superpower , congratulations in order

Pakistan .. They are trying hard to build perception that they have won ,To some extent yes but they will now get the ire of the world , Everyone is now openly blaming Pakistan for the Talibs Blitz . Also since TTP is now more than active we don't know what will happen , but for time being it is glad tidings for Pakistan

Iran ..Need to get that nuclear deal with Murica signed ASAP ..Seize hostility with Muricans and west. We might also see strategic shift , Instead of Pakistan US will now pamper Iran but old wounds will take time to heal

India .. Unnecessary hoopla going on ..We don't have any stakes in Afghanistan , our all eggs were in Western basket which have broken ..Need to get out soon or make a deal with Devil
Security wise we will see rise in attacks in Kashmir (jihadis will be emboldened) and may be pan India but since Modi is in center they might fancy such attacks to rally Hindu votes with some hard hitting response (in Pakistan) . Plus now we are in much better position to thawrt such attacks and our boys needs some practice..

Calm your tits guys ..this was inevitable ..Enjoy the moment ..Whenever Muricans say something about India show them those videos by simply saying Fuck off
Well out of the situation, I think karma served the west really well. Had they not poked the Russians, the task would have been completed.
Now I hope we get a realistic comparative assessment of Russian and US army performance in Afghanistan.
Going by the retreat images, I believe the Russians did by far commendable job. How the general Boris gromov walk head high across the bridge.

Imagine how many IS and Al-Qaeda tangos have come out of afghanistan in the guise of refugees, on the way to different parts of the world.
That;s One thing .. Many of the top commanders who were in rat hole are back in ground for next plot...

TBH, the way this happened, Taliban will not be satisfied.. they need blood on the streets .. moreover they need to engage foot soldiers too some how. they will not behave like normal soldiers for sure... So withdrawal symptoms.. hoping they cross over to Pakistan

Define control first. What are they controlling when everything is hey wire. Like I said stop obsessing over Pakistani losers. First they should control their own country before dreaming of controlling Afghanistan.
Why even bother, ground realities come forth on its own, just like all the bongiya that pakis make like gutters flowing with gold due to CPEC and all that they achieved after zarb e kasb, there are still takers for it.

Pakis dont know the shitstorm they are in for. Sure there might be sleepless nights for our security apparatus too, but the equation remains the same, pakis would be banged hard for any terror attack on Indian soil.

What India needs to do is make sure Taliban be reminded to take the Durrand line in their control as well.

Ram Madhav is on the spot and right in his assesment.

Article -

The BJP on August 16 did not put out any official statement on the Taliban take over of Afghanistan but two former general secretaries of the party cautioned that the development did not portend well for India and that the country should brace itself for terror attacks.

Former BJP general secretary and current executive member of the RSS Ram Madhav tweeted that the Pakistani mentoring of Taliban would lead to severe security challenges in India.

“Taliban hs over 30,000 mercenaries trained in Pakistan by ISI, in power in Kabul. Taliban leadership will now deploy them ‘elsewhere’ with d help of mentor Pakistan. India should brace up for serious security challenges. Taliban may eventually consume Pakistan and China too, but the immediate threat is for India,” he tweeted.

New war has begun

Another former general secretary and current in-charge for Madhya Pradesh P. Muralidhar Rao declared that a ‘war’ had in fact just begun rather than concluded. “Unfolding events in #Afghanistan are ringing alarm bells all over including India. If anyone believes ‘war is over’ — [they are] living in a fool’s paradise. New war has begun. We Indians should not get caught ‘off guard’!,” he tweeted.

Privately too, party leaders said the short term outlook was “quite bad” for India as it might soon become the focus of terror attacks from a secure Taliban and a Pakistan in control of Afghanistan and militia there. The Taliban had sheltered the hijackers of Air India flight IC 814 during the tenure of the NDA government under late Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, leading to the death of one passenger and the release of three terrorists.

There are rumors of 5,000 Russian troops being sent to the Afghan border.

According to the possible development of events, the Taliban militants may move to the Panjshir province, whose population is almost 99 percent Tajik. Then the terrorists can launch an offensive in Tajikistan, where they have tangible support. To prevent such a development of the situation, Moscow can provide assistance to its ally in the CSTO.

Such actions of the Kremlin fit into the general outline of the measures that Russia is taking in Central Asia. The Russian Federation understands well what is happening in this region and has long been making the necessary efforts to ensure the security of its southern borders from both terrorists and NATO forces. Thus, Moscow has held and will conduct a number of military exercises with the participation of Tashkent and Dushanbe.

But I guess we will remain a docile cowardly state always contemplating what do we gain and worry about lossess. Afterall, it's Gandhis nation.
Gandhism died in India with Gandhi when Patel and Nehru occupied most of princely states.

Jumping in anything without contemplating on gains and losses only brings disasters. Governments are not tantrum throwing juveniles which do things for glory and cool stuff, they are prudent old men who do what's of use.

World powers of modern world weren't built on hasty wars. US, France, China, Imperial Japan or UK, all sought peace to settle their conflicts in their time periods and sit away from global conflicts just to reap benefits from every opportunity and build industrial capacities and later came out on world stage in decisive wars.

Modern powers were built by "coward" intellectuals slowly and not brave yelling boys without brains. Kingdoms which saw war as a source of glory have collapsed from world map hundreds of years ago.
India is falling,
No, India's neighborhood is. Our trajectory is intact and we don't have anything to gain from supporting or opposing either of sides for now.
we are going to fight external enemies who would also use our own against us
And we absolutely don't need to add another enemy to list when we don't even know what their intentions actually are.
and we will lose whatever is left of our nation.
What are we going to lose in this regard? Afghanistan was always useless.

We have sufficient time to see the situation since Indian military has overwhelming firepower over Pakistani military or Taliban insurgents. They are enough to handle sooner or later. We don't have administrational blockades to declare emergency in Kashmir and wipe out every fence jumper since 370 is gone. We never had a trade route through Afghanistan.

All we are going to lose is infrastructure and military stuff we gifted to Afghans. But that was a foreign aid donation from India to AFG and didn't have to come back to us under Ghani's government either.

It's best bet for India to just watch a conflict which is nothing more than a drama for Indian interests. Minimal effect in real life!

This is how foreign journalists look in Kabul now

CNN journalist Clarissa Ward before and after the Taliban takeover of the Afghan capital. She used to be a popular reporter covering the political situation in Kabul. And today the Taliban asked her operator why he took the woman with him. Now the hijab is literally vital for her.
