Wishing Independence for Xinjiang.
Nothing will happen in Xinjiang
Mark my words.
Any insurgency will meet with the iron foot of PLA.
They don't give a flying fk about human rights and definitely don't have free media like in Kashmir (something I admire, media can be a pain in the a&& like panauti madam in two instances)

But what they can do is get weapons and training from the Taliban and keep harassing the Chinese presence there

I support them in controlling the islamist scourge, we can always fight on the fronts. But we should not repeat the soviet us game on this topic. Chinese should be appreciated and even applauded for how they spank these jihadis.

Commies know islam prevents muslims from accepting commie indoctrination.

Even if china were to move more towards a civilizational idea rather than some international communism fantasy persecution of uyghurs would remain.

Any ideological or Civilisational state would realise instantly the problems with Islamist doctrine and ummah ka chummah narrative.

So the main thing once taliban establishes its rule:
1. How will it govern the country. Roohani taqaat will not be sufficient to administer health care, food etc
2. Will they ban TV,Internet etc like they did in 90s
3. Women are definitely going to back to stone age.
4. Will the territory be used as a base for expansion or terror activities
5. Taliban may lie low for a few days but the bellicose attitude should take front seat. Will they attack Iran or India? After their two back to back victories, they have opened Pandora box.

Afghanistan is one of the factors, not all of it obviously.

Why are Indians watching the Afghanistan crisis closely?
Because the U.S. presence there since 2001 had a significant impact on Kashmir. It kept the handlers busy.
(sorry for the grainy graph, I made it many years back)

Good spoken on behalf for @lixun
Didn't speak on behalf of anyone
I just said what I thought was right
You seriously think The Chinis will allow a ongoing insurgency
Give me few thousand men and associated equipment and subtract the media from Kashmir, I'll "stop" the local wannabe Ghazis from seeing the light again, maybe some collateral damage and casualties among own ranks, but that's why I mentioned the part about media
The Chinese will do exactly that

Could this be one of the reasons for modi to work on removing 370?

My comment was meant to taunt the Wumao lurker, even I know the ground reality.

But we have better weaponry now. Wouldn't that keep the graph down?
