I know from the current scenario of MEA travel snapshot looks like desperate attempts from Indian side for its fate in Afghanistan while maocrows all reliance on porkis are not much seen...but wait till all boots go out....

After US defeat we can finally conclude that US policy in Afghanistan has completely failed. Their exit was disastrous for Afghanistan but we all knew it was going to happen one day. They spent 20 years in that country. A few more years wasn't going to change anything.

The only major mistake they made is they didn't put enough pressure on Pakistan. ISI were giving shelter to afghan terrorists in full knowledge of CIA yet USA didn't do anything about Pakistan. This is the major reason they failed.

Ironically in 80s CIA created Taliban to defeat commies now same Taliban defeated them. It has come full circle.

Pakis are enjoying this as a win. In reality they have made things worse. Their dream of central asian trade via Afghanistan will suffer. They also have an afghan refugee crisis looming. Islamic fundamentalism will increase in Pakistan. A stable prosperous neighborhood would've brought peace and economic opportunity for pakis but pakis being pakis they chose terror and instability.

Now its time for India to increase border protection and strengthen counter insurgency unites. Terrorism is going to make a strong return in various parts of the world including India.

Islamic unity is myth but terrorism is reality. Whether we like it or not, terrorism involves lot of killing. If pakistan ends up like afghan or syria, we will be within the range of that clusterf*ck.

Central Asian states and Iran, lie next to Afghanistan.. Especially the central Asian states face the greatest threat from the Taliban conquest of Northern Afghanistan as large numbers of fighters from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are fighting for the Taliban. That is why Russia is so worried. In the end, US presence in Afghanistan was only beneficial to Russia, central asia, India and China.. It made hardly any difference to threat perceptions to the American homeland.. So, getting out of Afghanistan is good for the US.

It's refreshing to see your confidence in our capabilities. We may not be helpless like yazidi or kurds. But we are not Israel.
