Yes, sons of soil, who killed Indians & facilitated the IA hijacking.

India's track record there is always with the people rather than massage Taliban legs.

Taliban always had influence on Pashtun strongholds in South Afghanistan. But US and allies should have ensured that the North and East Afghanistan do not succumb to the jihadi extremism by forceful partition of Afghanistan.

He isn't wrong, the way soldiers fled without fighting and the way Afghans welcomed the Taliban, they certainly are not being seen as terrorist amongst the masses.

Regarding India's opinion, US most likely has acknowledged Taliban that is why it has been holding talks with them. Taliban leaders meeting Chinese FM, pretty much clears China's stand as well. Not aware about Russian stand. So until India is planning to get involved in Afghanistan with force (I hope they don't), our acceptance won't have much effect.
