I am at loss to understand how taliban took Iver in few weeks of running....

If local afghans supported them than I had say let them stay in their caves a d no need to send any aid there. They deserve it and shud be reminded this when they complain of taliban next time..

US & Joe will be mocked their whole life for this surrender and his will only end up boosting the morale of terrorists in pork land... I hope our borders are sealed & secured.. This shud give a flip to Kashmir bogey too....

I doubt that, the wars now a days are fought on economic front. The days of using militants are over.

I mean beginning of the end of Pakistani designs.

A Taliban that stamps its authority over Pakhtun areas along Pakistan border is good for India.. Less space for ISI /CIA etc.. jihadi dogs to run their own camps or bases.. without any accountability.. If the Taliaban has a strong presence along Pakistan border, the blame for running these Trans national terrorist camps will fall on the Taliban.. Now, whether the Taliban care about International opinion is a separate question..

New generation of Americans don't have courage and determination to become a perfect deterrent. And seeing how Americans flee from war should be somewhat terrifying for Japanese and Taiwan or some kids which are in HK thinking that USA will protect them. There are exceptions, but recent incidents and isolation of Pakistan diplomatically is pointing in that direction. Now Russia, China and the west are not in favour of Pakistani policies regarding the terrorist factories and sanctuaries inside Pakistan.

Nations do use militants or contractors for strategic purpose, but Pakistan policy is not accepted since it has dangerous motives combined with religious fundamentalism which can be a threat to future generations.
