Impressive indeed. Are they going to upgrade their F-16's with it or put it in their Ching Quo fighter?

I think the Taiwanese AESA radar will eventually be installed on the Taiwanese Ching-Kuo fighter.

Taiwan's American F-16A/B fighter comes with an End-User Licensing Agreement (ie. EULA). Taiwan may not install a different radar without US approval, which will not be forthcoming because the US earns money from maintaining, providing parts, and upgrading the F-16A/B radar.

We encountered a similar problem previously. Taiwan had written its own software to fire a "Taiwanese Hellfire" missile from its helicopter. The US said it was a violation of the EULA and only American Hellfire missiles can be fired from the Taiwanese-purchased American-helicopter.
