Broken rice is good for making snacks and noodle;

* China buys 100,000 T broken rice at $300 per tonne

* China’s traditional suppliers struggle due to lower crop

* India offers rice at lower price than other Asia suppliers (Adds details, analyst comment)

“China buying rice from India, or U.S. or any country, is just adding some flavor to the domestic market. The trade has very limited impact on the China market,” said Yin Xiuying, analyst with trade website www.ChinaGrain.CN, based in Harbin, capital of China’s northeastern province of Heilongjiang.

Iron core is good for making finished industrial products and export, since export on 2020 are still fast growing.
Ya'll Nibbiars But why buy it now when you never brought rice in past 30 years from India.

But why ban now when you never ban apps and some products in past 30 years from China.

Ya'll Nibbiars Does the apps existed 30 years ago.
I think China and India had trade relations more than 30 yrs.

If China and India is not on full scale war, China has very reason to diversify its supply chain, not only on industry but also food market, India is one of many options.

China ecomony has long term plan to be more open, that's why we signed iconic deal with AEASN on RCEP, EU on CAI on 2020. We don't treat India as our No.1 enemy so buying stuff is normal business.

Back to hisotry, China and CCCP had bloody border clash on 1969, but 3 yrs later we trade world's biggest helicopters Mi-6.

But Apps didn't existed 30 yrs ago. Nor the trade was so one sided.

China already has a trade surplus running into billions of dollar better they compensate that and bring it on equal terms.

Regarding We don't treat ?

Who the hell you think you are... You are not a democratic system and you don't have a say what CCP does.. if you dare to.. they'll do a tiannmen square on you.

And more important CCP has illegally occupied colonised and destroyed Tibet and Indian Territory. Since when the coloniser , war mongers opinion matter

Do Chinese say thank you Japan for what they did to you ?

Most of our fellow Indians, especially those in the power circles, do not understand what it takes to boycott China. It is completely economic. The fact that right from the core Indian industries such as pharmaceuticals that use China-supplied raw materials, to the fact that a majority of our people here are watching this forum on something that has come from China.

China was very smart in using weapons as a form of trade, where it built everything from scratch. The result is that today it has become indispensable for the global supply chain. There is not one country that can independently function off China's grid, including the high and mighty United States.

What is it that India can export to China that it cannot make itself today - except for food crops, vegetables and raw ore?

This is the fundamental question that every Indian strategic planner needs to ask before taking a decision to do something. India's eternal trade deficit shows poor translation of the vision told by higher ups to the levels below.

As long as that local corporate officer keeps taking bribe from people keen on opening factories in India, as long as that local minister keeps pushing for more political donations from the budding industrialist, India will continue to rely on China eternally.

I think the import from China has reduced by 15 bn USD. How boycott China is a flop?
Not really.

Chinese companies are still giants in the main high-value, high-volume electronics sector. There is not one company in India that can take on the might of Huawei, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Alibaba Group, Tencent Group and definitely not the likes of Lenovo who are leagues ahead.

China also has its own leadership in terms of software developments; they are actively decoupling their country from the Windows/Mac tied ecosystem that could compromise their internal security through developing their own OS - the UOS is trying to do that. Though a Linux-based operating system, they are still ahead of the implementation that India has set forward for Bharat Operator System (BOSS) released ages ago.

India has powerful companies but their leadership does not have the right vision, combined with the short-term vision of politicians who take control of the country. PM Modi has been trying his best but sadly, without more PM Modis in the future at state and district levels, this won't be possible.

Yeah we are in nascent phase actually , we are growing our companies , developing tech. , Anything concrete can't be said now , trajectory of this nation can be decided after 2030 or so only , that's minimum time frame , but China's ruse wasn't natural but a gift of west , in initial days they gave them too much of low end manufacturing to eradicate poverty and give some bucks to government to develop high end technologies , here we lack money , unlike china , yet we are trying for better , if our trade grows ,our economy pucks up , manufacturing establish , we will be self reliant in a lot of sector by decade end , maybe some single digit secfor remain for our reliance but this decade is the make or break
