Its a major structural change its cannot be done on operational aircrafts
Without grounding fleet
we cannot use 272 aircraft simultaneously if possible we should start it in batches, isnt' it? will it be useful for frontal rcs of su 30mki

Even then such structures changes are massive in nature. there reason IAF doesn't going for Engine upgrade
Out 29 squadron available
Half is of MKI

India could not able to afford this due two 2 front war.

reason? super sukhoi upgrade is in line ,rcs reduction must be one of the objective
With the armaments which it would carry on its pylons, it would blip like a football on the RADAR.
Russians did it with Su-57 which would carry its weapons internally. Same is not the case with MKI. RCS reduction could be achieved by ARC method which is more practical in our case rather then RAM coating.

+its useless. No matter how much RAM paint you put on the Sukhoi, it won't get lower frontal RCS than 5m^2
in a2a config rcs of su 30mki is around 3m2 ,hvt once indicated on twitter when one user repeatedly complained about su 30mki for rcs he just said "in a2a config rcs is comparable to other aircrafts of its generation ,notably f15

F-15's RCS is no less than 15m^2 in a2a configuration.

5m^2 exaggeration , it wud be around 3m2 in a2a config
5m^2 without weapons mounted on pylons. More in A2A. Right now, the RCS is 20m^2 for A2A, so below even 10 would be a great improvement.

It won't be a great achievement, their is a reason why LO capabilities are taken into consideration by design itself, anything with weapons mounted outside will be detected by over 100s of miles in the plains......

I was saying in relative terms with respect to the original RCS.

F-15 is nowhere near single-digit rcs in ANY configuration (even clean).

And any Flanker will always be far worse than F-15 in terms of frontal aspect rcs because of the intake nacelles that hang from fuselage instead of being flush with it (like on f-15).

People think A2A config is no biggie wrt RCS. It's not just the size of missiles that matters - its the pylons too.
