The thread maybe about the PAK-FA. Yet, it appears to have some competition! Remember, Russia just like every other country. Needs a strong export market to fund it's Large Military Complex.

With the advent of the J-20. That market could strink even more.......:emot203:

A video regarding MiG 1.44 project but has some previously unseen PAK-FA footage... Can't understand the language though...

T-50 / I-21 / PAK FA

Prospective multi-role fighter T-50 was created as part of the Advanced Complex Frontal Aviation (PAK FA). Development of the aircraft began in EDO im.P.O.Suhogo in the late 1990's. Announced in April-May 2001 a design competition for the PAK FA program was won in the 2002 draft fighter T-50. Chief designer of the plane - Davidenko. Full-scale design of T-50 started after the defense conceptual design in 2004 Production of a series of prototypes of T-50 started at the plant KnAAPO (Komsomolsk-on-Amur) in late 2006 first flight of the prototype T-50-1 made 29 January 2010 Dzemgi airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Program is the first phase of testing the PAK FA began April 29, 2010 on the basis of LII in Zhukovsky (Moscow region), and the adoption of the aircraft into service and at the front entrance of the Air Force is planned for 2013-2015 gg

i hope the pak-fa prototype makes it appearence in aero india 2011.
Stealth aircrafts don't frequently come to air shows where everyone is eagerly documenting weakness of their rivals. Air Shows of today are bussines mega events where some come to earn bucks some to loose. And right now there is no need for Russia to let world capture radar signature of its ace fighter just for few orders. They have ample money of their own which was recently boosted by Indian collaboration.

f-22 raptor last year made appearence and displayed flying manuevers at the faranborough air show
