Our fundamental weakness has been our strength itself in foreign policy; we are not allied to anyone but ourselves.

As a smaller world power surrounded by two major unstable and hostile states, it is not a good thing.

Let's examine the case one by one of all nuclear powers.

1- Israel; none of its neighbours have nuclear capabilities. And they make sure that they continue to have a first move advantage.

We cannot do that.

Score: others 1; us 0.

2- China - for decades they relied on the strategic fear of nuclear missiles and built up their conventional capabilities. Today they are powerful beyond measure. Their conventional forces are four times ours. Their economy is four times ours at the very least. They are completely self reliant in case of a full blown war which we are not.

Score: others 1; us 0.

3- North Korea - there's a reason why I am mentioning this decrepit state here. And that is pure tactical brilliance. NK has been cash starved for years.

So for all these years, they ensured to keep Seoul and Tokyo within their range through archaic but very practical means.

Now they have nukes which makes them immune to a ROK/ Japanese assault.

Soon, they'll have capability to strike US mainland.

I am not even talking about USA and Russia as they were the first superpowers after WW2.

Whar we need to realise is the sheer. Strategic thought process that went into designing a phalanx system before these countries became invincible in their own rights.

This is where India failed.

You are underestimating war. Indian population of 1.2 billion hindus itself is enough to terrify everyone else. Hindus are in general cowards and hence followed gandhi and voted for third class people luke nehru. It is the Shameless slave nature of hindus that makes india weak rather than military might.

War will need lakhs of planes, tanks, tens of thousands of submarine, tens of thousands of nuclear warheads. Having 1000-2000 will not make any country strong enough to win a war. The WW2 style military manufacturing is what is needed and that is possible by downrating consumption activities and only focusing on defence manufacturing like Russia. China is only 5-6 years ahead of india in technology. India can gain technology by ToT to many smaller technologies and even some medium level ones. Israel for example has given us Spike missile and even seekers technology for BARAK-8. If needed we can make brahmos on our own with the seeker obtained from Israel. The engine of brahmos can be reverse engineered easily.

China has developed only some technology and has not perfected seekers or jet engine yet. China does not have aircraft carrier experience either. China is excellent at civilian manufacturing, especially low end goods but have to catch up in defense manufacturing. India has ample opportunity to directly enter military manufacturing bypassing civilian goods.

The population of india is also pretty young. That means, unlike China, India will have huge manpower in years to come. China was worse off than current india in 2005 but suddenly rose up. Similar rise can be seen in India too.

The biggest problem in india is not material wise but cowardice. India can be great only if cowardice is cured. Everything else is secondary.

BTW, next time post this kind of rant on other threads, not FGFA

FGFA will be Jointly developed and produce by India and Russia.
Indian FGFA will be produced at HAL , Nasik
When did India agree to that? Is Russia offering ToT? Whose engine is being used? Is it possible to use Indian engine or is it Russian import?

FGFA will have the Russian Item 30 engine. That is the one India has been waiting for and it is in a class of itself.
The avionics,, the Radar would be Russian as the Russians have developed a nice ecosystem for it.
Perhaps the MKI'sed part could be part of the avionics such as Targeting pod and ability to fire along with Russian French, Indian and Israeli missiles. Also importantly FGFA will be twin seater instead of Single seater Su-57

We don't have an engine.

The 125 kN engine is a myth.

It will take 20 years before GTRE can even get out a prototype.

We should stick to the I-30 engine that Russia has planned.

Otherwise IAF will be fighter-less in the coming 10 years.

Before year end, you will be able to get the signed FGFA Contracts.
Engine will be izdeliye-30 for now.

I think joint venture has nothing more to explain about ToT.
You can do any modifications in any part of the Aircraft, as you are also one of the developer.

125kn TURBOFAN Engine is not a myth but you can call it a perception as of now. Bcoz , Kaveri GTX can be modified accordingly for higher or lower thurst requirements, once if its able to meet present desired specifications set by GTRE Along with good MTBO and lifetime.

As I already posted about the update for safranised Kaveri that the Project is moving ahead of schedule and possibly completed before 2018 end.

JV is a very new term between HAL & Russia.
Have to wait for the output...
It might be quite similar to BrahMos.
The output will be delayed and delayed. Russian will blame Indian for delays and HAL work share will keep reducing and reducing.

And then 10 years later we will read on dfi that India seeking Russian permission to change screws . :biggrin2::biggrin2:

Mark this post for future somebody.

Timeline is the strict requirement for this deal.

Workshare and number of jets to be produced are the only terms which are exactly in the final phase of FGFA Contract. Other points are already cleared.

The main differences between both FGFA and PAK-FA will be those 42 modifications which are asked by IAF .

Indian FGFA will be MKI-zed Su-57 (i.e. the fighter on joint unified T-50 heavy fighter platform).
Basically , it is MKi-zed/Indian variant of PAK-FA but will be quite different it in terms of technical aspects.

All in all, FGFA is a Jointly developed and produced 5th gen jet (OFFICIAL DESIGNATION)

These 42 changes will require lot of r&d there will be delays.
You will be able to see a FGFA in India by 2020.
Modifications will not take time because 41 our of 42 do not require structural changes. The remaining one is twin seat customisation which will be carried out by Russian side and for your kind information, its under development.
Also stealth engine is still not operational.
@gadeshi
Hope you will be able to address his concern.

Stop the blabbering till the deal is signed. Either we make it or not. Quantity has a quality of its own. It is better to not have FGFA if the ToT is not as desired to eventually make it fully indigenous by 2030 including engine or if Russia offers something else in return.

We might as well start importing soldiers too otherwise
