T-50/PAK-FA is Russia's homegrown 5th generation fighter. It is a heavy weight stealth jet to rival its USA heavy weight counterpart Boeing F-22 Raptor & China's Chengdu J-20. The improved variant of PAK-FA is FGFA. We will get the first FGFA prototype soon. AMCA is India's homegrown 5th gen fighter. It is a medium weight jet to rival its Chinese counterpart Shenyang J-31 and USA's Lockheed Martin F-35.

FGFA Is a Joint venture between Hal And sukhoi And We are making Composites for it an de it would be Manufactured In BHARAT
This is bullshit.
FGFA is PAK FA special export version for India with wide TOT and development access, nothing more.
Indian engineers are poor students comparable to Russian ones and FGFA is a chance and opportunity for HAL and Bharat to learn and adapt to advance on a new levels.

Na Bro it is not bullshit

India Provided Money for Your Project Indian Engineering Is Improving Day By Day
anyways are you Russian
India doesn't finance PAK FA in any way, just FGFA version.
PAK FA program has started in 2002, heavy financing were started in 2004, India has joined for FGFA in 2010, nearly before the first flight (the project design is mostly done), so...
I respect Indian engineers advance within recent years, but we should look on the current situation realisic way...

Representatives from United Engine Corporation stated that the first "second phase" prototypes of the standard PAK-FA engine would be produced by the end of 2017, and that the test was now scheduled for 2018.
The director-general of the Komsomolsk-na-Amur Aviation Plant (KnAAZ), Alexander Pekarsh recently told the Russian news agency, "The prototype of second stage engine is ready and in development and the test is going as planned."
Currently eight prototypes of the PAK-FA are conducting flight tests, while four new specimens are being assembled at KnAAZ. All prototypes have the "first stage" or "117S (AL-41F1S)". "When the new engines emerge in mid-2018, Sukhoi will then start large-scale production of the new fighter", the source said, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

The "second phase" engine will have 15-18% improvement in fuel efficiency and significantly greater thrust (up to 42,990 pounds each) over the current "Article 117" with its structural and technological performance and the level of parameters obtained will fully meet global standards for a fifth-generation engine because it is supposed to have a reduced infrared signature, supercruise and lower lifecycle costs.
NOTE: 42,990 pounds of thrust means 191kN afterburner thrusts. Being a single engine fighter, F-35 can produce up to191kN. But being a twin-engine fighter, Type-30 engine can total produce 380+kN thrusts.

The Russian state giant United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) announced an info-graphic containing its entire portfolio of 4th generation fighter aircraft and development projects.
UAC AERONAVES.jpg

This is interesting because we can see in summary form, the information related to the projects of aircraft including the payload. It draws attention the fact that the future fifth generation fighter project, being developed by Russia with the participation of India, previously called FGFA does not appear indicated in the info-graphic. Instead in its place, the name has been changed to PMI.

Well, we can see here the Stage-II airframe testbed without radar and optics, but with RAMs and the other coatings (incomplete though).
As far as the next prototype T-50-9 (1-09) will be the last (before LRIP-0) prototype with airframe changes - (1-09 will be a feature freeze before release in airframe aspect :)), all the changes made for Stage-II airframe must be sparely tested. That's why T-50-7 (1-07) is a second static (Stage-II) airframe, T-50-6-2 (1-062) is feature-reach Stage-II prototype for RCS and complex weapons tests, and T-50-8 (1-08) is Stage-II airframe testbed, the same way as T-50-1 (1-01) and T-50-2 (1-02) were airframe testbeds for Stage-I airframe.

117S (Al-41F-1S) is never used on PAK FA, as it is simplified export version of 117 (Al-41F-1) or "117 without a letter" engine (which is used on T-50) attended for Su-35S and T-10 platform updates.

i think india should pull out of the PAKFA programme let go of the initial investment and cut its losses the programme is all smoke and mirrors just a SU-27 albeit a flattened one russia does not have any tech to build 5th gen fighter india should retire all mig -21 and mig-27 buy the used mirages 2000 in the market as UAE is already looking to buy rafale that way we deny the pakistan any chance of ever getting those mirages either and instead work with france to creat e LCA mk2 stealth with offsets from rafale and also work with dassault on 5th fighter as france is also looking to build one and partner them on Neuron project it could help AURA russia does not have any tech worth offering except maybe engine but they are still developing PAK fa engine and our computer tech and mission computer was already superior as we integrated the avionics of MKI ourselves and have a good grasp on this also the mirage upgrade was aimed at improving this aspect i think cut alll funding and resources from PAK FA and full on partner with france for any future development project we can give the project to upgrade MKI to russians to keep them satisfied we can integrate most of the new tech radar and jammers used on PAKFA on MKI wont make much difference as PAKFA is not very stealthy to begin with.

care to explain on what level i am wrong ???? so far MKI still suffer from low availability and mig 29k are jokes their availability as low as 25% a mig 29k and su 33 also crashed within a week aboard kuznetsov also

heard this from PARIKRAMA

"Hearing from different circles..
Rafale exciting news will be out soon..

Both for Make In India and a bigger surprise of Rafale M order from Merignac. And it's quite a big size number !!!

India has chosen the upgraded engine Rafale which is going to meet multiple requirements including deck ops at 14 degree ski jump.

The upgraded engine will curtail the limitation of MTOW which is present in M88-4E for marine version operating from STOBAR carriers. The other competitor to this SH but it's not considered by IN owing to even less compatibility for STOBAR ops.

Oh btw IAF need is now 400jets and IN need for deck ops is 80 and shore based is another 60+. And single engine requirement is again going super slow..

And most importantly the IAF and IN fighter must also be MII fighter and a substantial benefit in TOT in terms of manufacturing and repair & overhaul ecosystem.

Since navy won't chose single engine as of now, the chances dimmed for the other so called single engine need of IAF based MII.

Enjoy the Christmas and happy new year in advance.. good work is done behind by DA, France and India."

INDIA NAVY IS THINKING OF MODIFYING VIKRAMADITYA AND REPLACING THE ENTIRE MIG 29K FLEET CAUSE THEY SUCK SO MUCH WITH SHIT ENGINE AND RELIABILITY WITH RAFALE BOTH VIKRAMADITYA AND VIKRANT WILL BE SPORTING RAFALE WHICH I THINK IS FINE.

russia is not the same soviet union they hardly have money to spend on quality R&D still recycling old tech to make jets we should go with france to make new jets since they already are helping us with engine tech not to mention their engines are reliable i mean mirage 2000 is our strategic deterrent carrier despite being single engine.

i love MKI as every other one here but russian jets are hardly reliable and crude we need to buy rafale and then co operate with france on AMCA otherwise we will be spending resources on 2 5th gen programmes???

who does that are we that rich??? to waste money on recycled old tech

AMCA will be delayed if we buy PAK-FA so focus on AMCA and replace all the migs and old russian tech with homemade and french jets except MKI
