Indian version is two seaters.
That's all.
It requires Item 30 engines to supercruise loaded, Russian single-seaters don't.
And of course, TOT and HAL design bureau and production lines set-up require a lot of time to tick-tock the proper way either...

Our version is double seater one.
I say it will take 2025 for fully fledged operational for IAF.
Don't forget that its new platform.
Our boyz need some hand over them.

Its a different aircraft based off the T-50 prototype. How much different ? That depends on the Work contract agreed.
The Two-Seater idea has been dropped as it compromises Stealth.
According to Wikipedia "The completed joint Indian/Russian versions of the operational fighters will differ from the current flying prototypes through the addition of stealth, supercruise, sensors, networking, and combat avionics for a total of 43 improvements.[6]"
HAL And Sukhoi are not foolish to work another 8-10 years and invest billions more to get the same capabilities as the existing fighter.

IAF will get Single and Double seaters both.
First batches will be a singles, the other ones - Double + Singles in IAF desired proportion.

Its not about Wikipedia, its about common sense. HAL is joining the project only to make it more potent.
