So in that case it's just a non-reciprocating charging handle not a forward assist one.
Seems like that to me as well,
Btw the design also has a slot on other side for charging handle, seems it could be swapped on other side at disassembly level, and that part is also somewhat confusing to me

Apparently pakis had this idea in the early 2010s.my head is spinning by imagining the recoil ,flash and sound in using this in indoors
Then you should probably meet HK51

7.62x51mm from an 8 inch barrel
For a brief period it used to be the go-to CQB weapon of SAS.

I hope I don't need to mention why the period was brief.

Thanks mate, but can you get me one picture in the same angle as the above one for the Vanguard AKM kit (the above one appears to be for a different gun). Also if possible share an image of the slot at an angle (if you can get through some connections maybe).

I am confused because I have got one piece of the lower guard and I cannot make a head or tail out of it.

You can see that here the slots are closed.
There is something seriously wrong with the handguard you have attached.
It's either an incomplete piece or its just a 3D printed place holder for the actual handguard.
The M-Lok slots are way out of specs

They also worked as improvised flashbangs. If you shoot someone, the person will be dead but also blind and deaf. What an amazing invention.

hot damn takes a lot of guts to stress test a gun that is more expensive that a duke
SIG's Spear is the perfect example of what we Indians call KLPD

> They advertised an innovative rifle with reciprocating barrel to mitigate the recoil of an 80k PSI round
> Submitted a vanilla SIG Virtus upscaled to 6.8x51mm and with single recoil spring in NGSW trials
> Still managed to beat way advanced submissions from Textron and Beretta
> Priced it at 6,500 USD after getting selected

reminds me of a dude from discord, who was totally not affiliated with ngsw program, that the only reason they chose sig was because of the ammunition capabilities,of course keep in mind its not exactly confirmed but the individual in question might be right

A real futuristic option would have been the textron.
