Anyone seen this... NO recoil AK. The video itself is short, but look at the grouping at 0:26 on full auto...

PS: The video will not show inline, you need to go to this link - youtube.com /watch?v=vCYcOt38jxI

That's a very effective muzzle brake.

Also the shooter is a competitor shooter, not an average Joe.

And btw, he's shooting semi-auto, so he can kind of re-acquire his target after each shot. Though that won't make that big of difference given how fast he's shooting.

New Light Machine gun OC-128 with DMR role
After PKM

Hope can get TOT with New OFB

Uh why complicate the MG situation again though? We’re already buying Negevs and if we order more in larger quantities PLR can make them here only.
This Russian MG is meant only for their SF units, and has some expensive features like the balanced automatic system from the AEK 971 SF rifle and is more complicated, hence the Russians are issuing it only to SF units and no 5.45x39 version for regulars due to its complicated nature. (@Johny_Baba could you tell us more about the system and it’s pros and cons).
IMO OFB should stick with its shortened FN MAG as it’s a design they’re comfortable with and can make further modifications and improvements. They must also try to make improved 7.62x51 ammunition for the Sig 716, new snipers of this category and new LMGs which have shorter barrels than the old FN MAGs.

That is exactly a PKM, an aluminium PKM to be more precise; just turned upside down.
And without a quick change barrel.

These are a very niche class of weapon, where you sacrifice long sustainable firing capability for weight.
FN Evolys is an example of same. Same goes for Stoner LMGs.

What we currently need is a MG that has a service life in excess of 50K. Coz we already have Negev and Mini/Maximi to do what OTs-128 is supposed to do.

Btw, it's not a DMR.

Russians will sell anything for right price
Nuclear subs to Ballastic missiles we got
The tech from them

PLR is adani firm so forget about them getting order

There is nothing about complicating anything
We already complicated
Things while buying
US made SIG 716i

Without any local assembly line
This will create serviceability issues in long run
For India military

Infact Ak-203 although (Ak-12 or 15
Might had been better choice )

Was best decision Modi has made
Localizing base AK

60 % IA battalions are Trained or deployed for
Higher altitude
So any lighter version can be more suitable

FNMAG old design less scope modernize it.

This gun can be switched into multi role

As a DMR

Also I have less hope for OFB Innovate design
As there R&D is still 20 years behind the curve

FN Evolys would be good choice sadly
It's not be in our budget and certainly will never be allowed for licence produce

AS FN doesn't give weapons to non nato

Requirements is still for locally produced weapons
Already stated by army
Which can be FN MAGs

But I find it less modernized less scope for R&D

Had we gone for Negev assembly or standardize It's as
MG
It's wouldn't been issue ever

Requirements for MG's far exceeds
1,00,000 as it's will accounted for CAPF also

Making SIG-716 as our primary weapon
Isn't really good decision either

That too done without Localizing
Production and support
I mean which nations does that

Let's see
Hope this will not become another Barreta CX4 Storm like Scam in long run
Like it's plagued with servicing issue 🙄

IA known for such scams
