Nope, they don’t cry.

They only buy time to recalibrate their next tactic.
I agree, they are hurting and also crying inwardly. So they want to buy time to regroup and launch diversionary terror attacks. This happens everytime.

Now they will try and engineer
1. Heavy firing in LoC sectors, where they enjoy positional dominance (posts overlooking ours)
2. Attacks on bases on the pattern of Uri, Pathankot etc. Perhaps Nargota-like attacks as well
3. Bomb blasts/terror incidents in other parts of India.

Will also allow them to divert attention from the pitiful state of their pathetic economy.

Role of sniper is not to increase kill count, Their mission is to take high valued targets and leave pshycological impact on enemy soldiers. Ask any soldier who came across or pinned by sniper. What kind of imapct they leave on them . A sniper on the loose is as deadly as an entire batallion.
Neither side uses sniper to target HVTs as that will lead to large escalation.
Snipers on both sides have instructions not to target officers.

Preparedness? Great! Preparedness with antiques like t55s and 72s. It seem that the army has no information as to what became of the iraqi army in the gulf war.
T-55s if you are unaware are in the museum not in active service.

The T-72s are not 'antique' as you mentioned. They have been upgraded under Project RHINO aimed at re-equipping 1,500 T-72M1 tanks. The upgrade program provided for :

• A new fire control system: the Drawa-T from PCO-Cenzin of Poland. The Drawa-T is present on the Polish PT-91 tanks, their much improved variant of the T-72, and a muzzle reference system.

• A thermal imager integrated with the Drawa-T fire control system, supplied by Israel's El-Op.

• DRDO's and BEL's (Bharat Electronics Ltd) state-of-the-art frequency hopping combat net radio, manufactured by BEL.

• A fibre optic gyro-based navigation system: BEL's advanced land navigation system.

• Laser Warning System: Designed by DRDO, BEL and Indian Industry, to be manufactured by BEL.

• Explosive reactive armour,

• New radios manufactured by Tadiran or GES Marconi and an improved NBC protection system.

• The tank's stabilisation has been upgraded - the gun control system by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. and Electronics Corporation of India Ltd.

• A new Integrated Fire Detection & Suppression system has also found its place in the upgrade.

• Improvements to the tank's Nuclear Biological & Chemical protection.

And the MoD has just approved the procurement of 1,000 new engines for the T-72M1 Ajeya MBT in September 2018.

There's more but enough to give you an idea that the the upgraded T-72s are not antique and not being junked just yet. They have a lot of spunk still left in them.

This T-72 can face most tanks in Western border. And in Ladakh, it is much capable than #China origin Type-15 light tank and can match Type-96B tanks (yet to be deployed in mass), smashing power with 125 mm main gun and capability to fire ATGMs.
So, can they fire ATGMs (mentioned in the above tweet)?

The T-72B with the Russian tank regiments can also fire the ZUBK14 round which comprises a guided rocket, designated 9M119 AT-11. This ammunition is fitted with the 9K120 guided weapons system, dubbed Svir, which enables the crew to fire the guided rockets while the tank is stationary, day and night to a range from 100 to 4,000m. The rocket is laser-guided semi-automatic.

Where India is concerned, the T-90S, the first of which was delivered to India in January 2004 can also fire the 9M119 Refleks (NATO designation AT-11 Sniper) anti-tank guided missile system which has semi-automatic laser beam riding guidance and a hollow charge warhead. The guns automatic loader feeds both ordnance and missiles.

govt should put all modern surveilance equipment in this corridor. Otherwise pakis will push terrorists via this corridor
How are we going to ensure security? No papers/passports/visas required! So who's going to check whom? Khalistanis will just stroll in and stroll out! Literally a walk in the park!

But I'm sure our PTB must have thought this through.

Pakis meanwhile were happy that we are opening this corridor - for the sake of 'peace'! Peace? Really? Here's what they were displaying while commenting on our gesture.....

I'm sure a lot of urging came from within, I mean the Akalis and the SGPC and Sikh leadership cutting across party lines.

Do remember, no real condemnation of Sidhu came from the Sikh leadership when he chomped down on the foot perpetually in his mouth with that sharing more with Shitistan than with South India comment.

I dare a single Sikh leader to call for caution on this. I suspect I'll be waiting for a long time.

A Visa to enter Pak will not be required

But we can maintain the database of all the pilgrims going to pak

Any valid identity card will be required

In fact now Pakistan has committed to this
We can go about doing our business on the LOC

Can any one confirm if this is true...
"Indian army strikes a newly build ammunition depot of Pak Army near Lashkari Chak in POK yesterday night...Huge loss to enemy.... Unexpected movement is seen across LOC.....Pak Army chief is visiting forward area of LOC after buffeting response by IA.Heavy artillery is used"

If true this will explain Both COAS's statements & posturing...
Probably true. I got a whatsapp msg saying India deployed weapon locating radar(swati). Note pak had this from US. Now after deploying them we are pounding their depots

Also can someone confirm on below. Vajyapee started development . Again stalled for 10 yrs under UPA, until current govt got this completed.

Project was sanctioned by Vajpayee Govt coz we did not have them during Kargil war. But Swathi was accepted by army in 2007, and orders were placed henceforth.

The Swathi Weapon Locating Radar (WLR) is a mobile artillery locating radar. It is designed to detect and track incoming artillery and rocket fire to determine the point of origin for counter battery fire to destroy enemy artillery/mortar positions.. It cannot be used to guide artillery fire on ammo dumps/depots etc.

In absolute terms, the defense expenditure increased by 21pc to Rs219.4bn from Rs181bn in the first three months last year. The Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), on the other hand, plunged by 35.5pc to Rs106.6bn in the first three months this year against Rs165bn of the comparable period last year
