J&K police smash 'governance infrastructure' of terrorists inside jails

• The cops have busted 'Shuara-e-Zindan' (supreme council for jail), a term used by terrorists for governance inside prisons

It said the jail, which is expected to act as a correctional facility, is "instead being used as a place of religious indoctrination and militant recruitment".
"It is being observed that even petty criminals who spend some time in jails are today coming out as highly indoctrinated individuals with religious motivation to support or even join militant ranks," it said.

China, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates - these are the three States providing financial assistance to Pakistan.

Pakistan will go down despite this as the money from abroad is pocketed by a few and is not reaching the public. Anger in public has already reached boiling point.

ADB distances itself from Pakistan's 'premature' claim of USD 3.4 billion loan

In a huge embarrassment for the Pakistan government, the ADB has distanced itself from the "premature announcement" of Prime Minister Imran Khan's adviser that the global lender would provide a loan of USD 3.4 billion to the cash-strapped nation, saying "discussions are ongoing".


The rare rebuff by the Philippines-headquartered institution came a day after Khan's adviser on finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Khusro Bakhtiar announced that the country would get a loan of USD 3.4 billion for budgetary support, out of which USD 2.1 billion would be released within a year.

Faiz made ISI chief in military shake-up


ISLAMABAD: In a surprise reshuffle, the Pakistan Army on Sunday announced that Lt Gen Faiz Hameed had been appointed the director general of premier spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
Gen Hameed was on his promotion as lieutenant general in April appointed as Adjutant General at the General Headquarters (GHQ). He previously served in the ISI as the head of internal security and is believed to be a close confidant of Army Chief Gen Qamar Bajwa.

Gen Hameed is from the Army’s Baloch Regiment.
Gen Hameed’s predecessor Gen Munir has, meanwhile, been named as the new corps commander Gujranwala.
