Saudis want to raise oil prices, they haven’t been that successful in the last 6 months.

Saying so because of the two messages that were flashed worldwide after the incident.

1) Iran attacked
2) oil prices jumped by 4%

Maybe they have a simple goal to raise oil prices and not to take on Iran, because they know very well that Iran can’t be brought down in military action.

And is one more event that media is not focusing on, last week one of Iran’s oil rigs in the sea was bombed. So this could also be a simple tit for tat..

It's complicated rising oil prices makes shell oil profitability. that is why usa wants to raise oil price while Saudi loose long term market share to shell. Remember it was Saudi in 2012-13 who were hellbent on raising production to lower oil prices to beat shell producers into bankruptcy. But shell was resilient and came back so Saudi gave up.

Still it is USA more than Saudi which will benefit from high oil prices. For Saudi high oil prices is only temporary boost as it allows margin for new rigs and recent discoveries to become operational which inturn compete with Saudi oil for market share.

Four youth held while trying to cross LoC in north Kashmir's Uri: Report


Four newly-recruited militants, including two south Kashmir youth, were arrested by the security forces in Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, reports quoting officials said on Friday.

Based on a specific input about the movement of the newly recruited group which was on its way to cross the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan-administered Kashmir via upper reaches of Limber area in Boniyar, a joint team of 161 TA army, Baramulla police and 53 BN of CRPF apprehended all of them late last night, news agency GNS reported.


The officer identified them as Adil Ahmad Dar (22) son of Ghulam Hassan Dar of Hardu Hangir Yaripora Kulgam, Tahir Shamim Lone (19) son of Shamim Ahmad Lone of Kapren Shopian, Sameer Bhat (18) son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Seer Dari Sopore and Naveed Parra (19) son of Ghulam Nabi Parra of Tapper Pattan.

The officer said that after questioning the youth were handed over to the police for further investigation and necessary action.

One among the detained youth, Sameer Bhat was missing since June 10 and his family had also filed a report in police station Tarzoo.
