Samjha Karo. If IK comes, he gets roasted at home, it he doesn't come, gets a bad rep for being discourteous.

As I see it, this is a push for PA to take over by stoking sentiments. And a PA that just took over needs to be muscular toward India, giving us the chance to attack them without International interference.

That aside, lagta hai agar IK aaya bhi, boht beijjati karenge.
If he gets invited by Modi, then it'll boost his image as an international leader. Also it'll support his agent of "peace" image in pak. PA won't take over again as long as their puppets obey.

A new report from Print says PAF wanted to target Indian military assets which were prevented when the Mig 21s appeared suddenly. Also, the Northern army commander and another commander had just left the brigade HQ moments before the incident.

Edit- But Pak dint have any knowledge of the commanders visiting. And it was by chance.

If PA overtly takes over, Pakistan will end up being blacklisted in FATF... and there will be many other negative consequences which will make Pakistan go under.. Meanwhile why take over when your puppet IK is on the wheel

Nobody has any doubt that Pakistan Army runs the show. No change practically.

India made it clear that end to terrorism and violence was a condition for dialogue to start, in keeping with the Modi government's preparedness to retaliate against terrorism and its crackdown on Pakistan-aligned elements in the Kashmir Valley.

No Invite extended to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan by India for swearing in ceremony of PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The purpose of phone call by PM Imran Khan was to congratulate the PM. India has shared relevant details of the call.

Modi Accepts Pak PM's Congratulations, Doesn't Extend Invite to Swearing-in Ceremony

The invite this time was for BIMSTEC countries. Pak is not part of this grouping anyway which includes:

Bangladesh
India
Myanmar
Sri Lanka
Thailand
Nepal
Bhutan

Apart from BIMSTEC, the Indian government has covered Mauritius an important nation in the Indian Ocean and Kyrgyzstan which is the current Chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization where the PM would be headed for soon.

Seems like Afghanistan and Maldives were left out just to keep up the pretenses that only BIMSTEC is being invited!
I don't understand this timidity!!! They should have gone ahead and invited Afghanistan and Maldives too - and make is unequivocally clear that Pakis are persona-non-grata!!!! Why does India even need any diplomatic justification (BIMSTEC only and not SAARC blah blah) to keep Pakis out????

The Pakistani peace process is equitable to a " cat cleaning up after itself".
Dig a hole, bury the poop and claim, " I cleaned it up".
