Some times I feel happy that there is insurgency going on in Kashmir. Otherwise our army was getting junked in barracks. More than 10million soldiers are in barracks both active and inactive. If Doval sir has brought the army into test and motion in Kashmir its good! We should know the caliber of Indian armed forces and generals who went doing nothing so many years until recently.

Guys. Cannot paint the whole army incompetent this way. If war isnt happening doesnt mean army sits in barraks doing nothing. They do a lot of excercises and training to prepare for any eventuality. I guess u shld have heard of the excercises that keep taking place from time to time both locally and internationally.

All Indian leaders need to be taught is how to tell businessmen and their campaign benefactors to STFU in times of war.

Over the decades, India Inc. cockblocked more Indian action against Pakistan than the UN and Paki nuclear deterrence.

Don’t think this time they would do that, now they are invested more in defence sector than before.

Moreover it was more about fear of sanctions earlier.

Escalation has been done by paki army ,the jihadi ambushed a patrol party ,which means they didn't wanted to infiltrate but strike ,this escalation by paki army and reaction depends upon political govt ,i don't know why we can't use our 130mm or 155mm ,Now we'll just pound them with mortars and they be happily inside their bunkers

Congress, which ruled for the most part, are corrupt and never armed the military properly with hi-tech equipment. Correcting this is not easy, cannot be done at once. It will take time. Also top commanders in army and air force are corrupt to the core. As long as jawans die, they don't care. They will enjoy the benefits and talk tough without doing much.

Don't make it a whine thread, if you can't bear martyrdom of 4 soldiers than how can you bear a war ,please go look at south asian terrorist portal the battle casualties have steadily have come down to below 170 last year from highs of round about 800 in 1999 and 2000 ,bear in mind this consists of all security forces ,police,CAPF and army and also include the anti naxal operation and other anti terrorist operation too
