Why not pound all of their bunkers in a sector?Blast the bunkers everytime they build them...Make it too costly for them 2 handle..Medium arty must be used...We r dealing with a rogue army which doesn't care abt morale of the troops,all they care is cost incurred in operating.

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India] January 19 (ANI): Union Minister of State (MoS) Jitendra Singh on Friday lauded the Indian Army for their retaliatory action across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Hira Nagar and R.S. Pura sectors.

"I want to appreciate the efforts of doctors and hospital staff as they are taking care of all the injured very well.

Whatever Pakistan is doing is not hidden from anyone but this time, the kind of retaliatory action Indian Army has taken has not been seen in decades. Even the people living in this area are the testimony of this", Singh told the media here.

All those expecting "something big" - this is somewhat how things turned out in 2002-3 leading up to the 2003 ceasefire.

Post Parakram there were daily artillery duels, the Army brought in their heavy guns and pounded the crap out of Pakis. Pakis bit their tongue and agreed to a ceasefire. Firing stopped, infiltration kept on.

Pretty soon, things will heat up so much the govt. will have to decide - either bite the bullet and commit to a large scale op, risking a war in the process or back down. My money is on backing down. India doesnt want or need a war right now.

Having said that there are elements in Pak which want a war, they will try to force a war by launching a huge terror strike and pushing the Indian Govt into a corner, where it will be unable to back down given its aggressive posturing.

Unless there is a big terror strike we ll see a new agreement by end of summer.
