Why is the Air force never used?
Wouldn't it get the job done easier?

  • The Indian Army killed 138 Pakistan Army personnel in 2017 in "tactical operations and retaliatory cross-border firings along the Line of Control (LoC)" in Jammu and Kashmir, government intelligence sources claimed today.

The Indian Army lost 28 soldiers during the same period along the LoC, the sources claimed.

)
The sources further claimed the Pakistan Army usually does not acknowledge the deaths of its personnel and shows them as civilian casualties in certain cases.

The Indian Army has been adopting a "tough" approach in dealing with ceasefire violations and militant activities in Jammu and Kashmir in the last one year.

The Pakistan Army has suffered 138 fatal and 155 non- fatal casualties in tactical operations and retaliatory cross-border firings along the LoC in 2017, the intelligence sources told PTI.

A total of 70 Indian Army personnel were injured during cross border firings and other incidents.

Asked about the fatalities on the Pakistani side, the Army refused to comment. However, Army spokesperson Col Aman Anand said India has been effectively retaliating against all ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army and will continue to do so.

According to official figures, 860 incidents of ceasefire violations along International Border and LoC were reported in 2017 as against 221 last year.

And there's the frustration. The Indian Army is far superior. Chief Bipin Rawat is a godsent.
I believe this is why they resorted to sniper firing instead of the usual, for some reason its not having any effect on us.
Are we building better infra along LOC or what...

I wish we were also told about the destruction of Pak's artillery/mors which they have deployed along the LoC.

I wonder if you guys are aware of the deployment of our Swathi weapon locating radars (WLR) meant to pinpoint their arty/mor positions and direct own arty fire on them. It was pressed into service along the LoC last year. The WLR has played a major role in suppressing Pak arty fire and destroying their gun positions.

Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat has called the system a success. He stated that It is being used extensively along the LoC by us.

The WLR has been jointly developed by DRDO's Bangalore based laboratory, LRDE and the Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The sub-systems have been fabricated by BEL based on the DRDO designs and delivered to LRDE for integration.

So, the Americans are droning these buggers in Pakistan but the Pakis are silent! Nothing in their media about these drone attacks!! Embarassed, what?
In Afghanista, technically as the durand line is a disputed area and there is some leeway here and there to differentiate Afghanistan from Pakistan.
