JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Six people were killed on Friday in the bloodiest spate of Israeli-Palestinian violence for years, prompted by new security Israeli measures at Jerusalem's holiest site.

Three Israelis were stabbed to death in a Jewish settlement in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, hours after three Palestinians were killed in violence prompted by Israel's installation of metal detectors at entry points to the Noble Sanctuary-Temple Mount compound in Jerusalem's walled Old City.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas ordered the suspension of all official contact with Israel until it removed the metal detectors. He gave no details, but current contacts are largely limited to security cooperation.

"I declare the suspension of all contacts with the Israeli side on all levels until it cancels its measures at al Aqsa mosque and preserves the status quo," Abbas said in a brief televised speech.

The three Israelis stabbed to death and a fourth who was wounded were from the fenced-in West Bank settlement of Neve Tsuf. Israeli media said the three dead were all members of the same family, two men aged 60 and 40 and a woman of 40.

The wounded woman, 68, was hospitalised with stab wounds to her back, Israeli media said.

A still photo carried by Israeli television showed a kitchen floor completely red with blood. The family had sat down to a traditional Friday evening meal when the attack occurred, according to Israel Radio.

The Israeli army and media said the assailant slipped into the settlement under cover of darkness to carry out his attack.

Israel to Erdogan: Days of Ottoman Empire are over
July 25, 2017 Middle East,World

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Muslims worldwide to “defend al-Aksa,” as the government’s decision late Monday night to remove controversial metal detectors at the site did not have an immediate calming effect.

Erdogan issued a blistering attack on Israel at a meeting in Turkey’s Parliament of his AKP Party.

“Israel has taken a dangerous path. By occupying the al-Aksa Mosque, Israel has exceeded the boundaries,” the Turkish president said, adding that Turkey recognizes Palestine with a capital in east Jerusalem and Israel with its capital in Tel Aviv.

He said that “Palestine’s” problems began with the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

“By relying on its backers and the weapons at its disposal, Israel is making a mistake. I call on all Muslims around the world to go on a pilgrimage to al-Aksa, to Palestine – if they are able to – or find a way and help our brothers therein if they’re unable to travel. The more we defend al-Aksa, the fiercer the resistance will be. If Israeli soldiers are dirtying al-Aksa with their boots, the reason is we fail to defend it decently. Let’s defend Palestine just as we defend Mecca and Medina.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a hypocrite after the Turkish leader condemned Israel for ostensibly excessive force in quelling protests around the Temple Mount.
“It would be interesting to see what Erdogan would say to the residents of northern Cyprus or to the Kurds. Erdogan is the last person who can preach to Israel,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.

The statement was referring to Turkey’s 33-year occupation of northern Cyprus and its decades-long suppression of the struggle for independence of the ethnic Kurdish minority in Turkey.

Erdogan had panned Israel hours earlier for use of “excessive force” against Muslim worshipers during clashes over security measures at the Temple Mount.

Israel MFA: Days of Ottoman Empire are finished

Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon responded by saying that the Turkish president’s words were “delusional” and “distorted.”

“He would do better to deal with the problems and difficulties in his country,” Nahshon said.

“The days of the Ottoman Empire are over,” Nahshon continued. “The capital of the Jewish people was, is and always will be Jerusalem. As opposed to the past, this is a city where the government is committed to its security, liberty, freedom of worship, and respect of the rights of all minorities.”

Those who live in glasshouses, Nahshon said, “should not throw stones.”

The Prime Minister’s Office said that Erdogan is “the last person” who can preach to Israel. “It is interesting what Erdogan will say to the Kurds and residents of northern Cyprus,” a PMO statement read.

They are just terrorists who wanna take over whole of Israel.Israel actually took a step back by removing metal detectors but these Palestinee terrorists wanna create another war so that few thousands Palestinee are killed and then they get more money from Muslim states to wage a war.Last time in 2015 some 2200 Palestinee got killed when mini war happened and Israel pummeled them.

Now that Erdogen is openely inciting Muslims allover the world to do terrorism against Israel. He is taking a moderate Turkey towards just another hardcore Muslim Terrorist supporting Arab state and destroy itself what it gained.

Turkey was a wannabe European but its good EU didnt include these fake moderate Muslims into Europe.

Palestine wants India to nudge Israel over Al-Aqsa mosque
Anirban Bhaumik, DH News Service, New Delhi, Jul 27 2017, 2:38 IST

Palestine wants India to use its friendly ties with Israel to nudge the Jewish nation to stop Judaisation of the historic Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.:hehe:

Palestine's ambassador to India, Adnan M A Abualhayjaa, on Wednesday said that since New Delhi had friendly ties with Israel, it could step in to diffuse the tension mounting in Jerusalem ever since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Government set up “additional physical hindrances” at Al Aqsa compound.

“We expect India to condemn violations of rights of Palestinians by Israel in East Jerusalem and other places in occupied Palestine,” Abualhayjaa told journalists in New Delhi. He said that India could play a “greater role” in resolving the Palestine-Israel conflict, particularly the latest “conflagration” which was caused by Israel putting up electronic gates, metal detectors, cameras and barriers to make it “impossible for the Palestinians” to go to the Al Aqsa mosque and offer prayers.

He noted that while the erstwhile regimes in New Delhi also had good relations with Tel Aviv, the current Government of India was particularly friendly to Israel.

His comment came just a few weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel. He was the first Prime Minister of India to visit Israel, although the two countries had established formal diplomatic relations in 1992.

Modi-Netanyahu bonhomie made headlines during the visit. Prime Minister, however, did not visit Palestine, thus departing from a long-standing tradition. :daru:

Indian dignitaries visiting Israel in the past had made it a point to visit Palestine too. President Pranab Mukherjee had visited both Israel and Palestine in October 2015. External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, too had visited Palestine after touring Israel in January 2016, just as one of her predecessors, S M Krishna, had done in October 2012.

Abualhayjaa, however, told journalists on Wednesday that Palestine was not worried over growing India-Israel relations. “We expect India to continue to have a positive attitude towards Palestine,” he said, noting that Modi had hosted Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in New Delhi just before his visit to Israel.

New Delhi steadfastly supported the Palestinian people’s struggle for a sovereign, independent, viable and united state of Palestine within secure and recognised borders, side by side at peace, with Israel, and with East Jerusalem as its capital. India was the first non-Arab country to recognize Palestine way back in 1988. India’s growing ties with Israel after the Bharatitya Janata Party’s ascent to power in May 2014, however, fuelled speculation about New Delhi reviewing its position on Palestine.

Modi Government made it clear that while India would continue to support the cause of Palestine, it would also seek to build stronger ties with Israel. :hehe:

“The attempts by Israel's extreme right-wing to mobilize support to change the status quo in the city (Jerusalem) would drag the region into more violence,” said Palestine's envoy to India. “The blatant attempt (by Israel) towards the Judaisation of Al-Aqsa (mosque) will be dealt (by Palestinians) with resistance. The world community in general should keep an eye on their actions, which has the potential to embroil the entire region into a mess”.

I don't think anyone would say anything after PM Modi's trip there recently.

Also Al AQSA is not originally mosque. It was the site of the holiest shrine of Jews.
Yes. Muslims highjacked the place just like they did many ancient temple locations in India.

Followers of A1 fighting A3 is just entertainment. Especially when A1 doesn't pose a direct threat to Hindus, it's fun to see them crushing A3.

Peacefuls are experts when it comes to playing victim. India's repose should be a big F ing NO.:biggrin2:

This is a standard "peaceful" activity.

BTW has anyone wondered that all this bloodshed is just for some metal detectors? o_O Unfortunately we have become so much used to violence from peacefuls that this doesn't even surprise us anymore. Most media outlets don't even bother to cover this. This neutered, spineless behaviour from everyone has become a new normal. Where is outrage over this?

Few cow protectors kill one guy in India and it becomes headline news for days even in international media.

Riots over Facebook post, killing people for drawing a cartoon, waging jihad for metal detectors and much more are all swept under rug. No award wapsi, No mess hysteria, Nothing. Just some words of solidarity and another reminder that its just few bad apples.

Those brave few who do speak out are labeled as racist, fascist, intolerant, communal, nazi etc.

How long will this continue?

That's exactly what they did. Ram janmabhoomi, Krishna janmabhoomi and other Devis temples where according to Hindu folk lore, Devi's has appeared from heavens to either destroy evil or to give darshan. Temples were built at such places but were destroyed by muslims and mosques built at the very same place.

This along with destruction of Hindu vedic schools was a grand scheme to remove all ancient knowledge of Dharma from Bharat.

The whole of ARAB world doesnt care for palestines..why should India care for the terror factory in the desert!!???
Arabs don't care if palestanians die as long as they keep killing Jews. That's their mentality. This carelessness is exactly why Erdogan asked muslims from all over the world to go to Al-Aqsa mosque and fight the Jews.
