It's going to be the 72th independence day , long way for our nation , but we mostly forgot to look at the violence take place back then....whe gen of our ggrandpa--grandma going to die so do the painful memories. Who or what going to beware the future Aman ki tamash genaretion that their paki-friend has same blood who promote vilencev and killing of those who are Indian. Atleast nationalist govt should take measures to unite indian (specially Hindus-sikh) that they aren't Dalit--upper caste -other religion etc , they are all same infront of their enemies and stay unite.

No, because it would be quickly spun off as "national butthurt day."

Let's celebrate 15th in isolation, and without the partition baggage. Our best revenge for the events of 14th August is to get as far ahead of Pakistan as possible, in every constructive field.

But there shld be some other day dedicated to the loss the nation bore by facing partition. Especially the places of religious/ cultural importance which bear roots to Indic culture. E.g KatasRaj temple, Mata Hinglaj, Nankana Saheb etc. IMO Govt shld promote visa, travel of Indians to these places.

Naah, best thing is to leave those inbred rap1sts blow themselves up. They significantly lag in terms of e-commerce, fintech, investments and overall technical capability, thereby they hardly matter to us.

A personal experience - Here in Sweden, people are crazy for Indian food, culture, yoga and our dharmic values. Pak1s are one of the most reviled bunch.

May be for Bollywood khan and fiberals, but many would come up in support of this, it's don't needed to be a national mourning day, just a token of respect to those families who loss everything in creation of terroristan.
Memorials in cities of bengal-Assam-tripura-punjub-j&k etc to bring next gen of families together , trying to help them from falling in the 'bengali brother' , 'Punjabi brother' trap, specially when you have mamtalikeM cm whose news channel and media , entertainment network try to promote bangladeshis as brother of west Bengalis.....never

Nice idea, in fact very good idea. Just that the date should not be around 15th August. Let 15th August remain all happy and positive. We can have a National Mourning Day (And Akhand Bharat Day - the positive flip of that) either on the date on which partition was officially accepted between British and sold-out Indian Politicians of those days or on the date on which Jinnah had called for Direct Action Day. I think the first one would be better. On this day all Indians must look back and ponder why/ how India was partitioned and all indians must take a pledge to work towards undoing the partition. There is no need for national holiday on that day, just programs for 2-4 hours in schools/ offices etc would do. The likes of Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah and Islamic Terror must be dedicatedly exposed on that day.
