^^ This is call 'Flame' ( It just the name and not flamethrower ) launcher designed and manufactured by DRDO which is compatible with Milan / AT-5 / AT-4 & SAMHO ATGM Missiles..

^^ Note from .22 secs , How ATGM team setup MANPAD ATGM, The launcher is flame and Missile is AT-5

^^ In this Photo you will notice SAMHO ATGM is mounted on Flame Launcher

I hope i am able to provide you enough material to understand about ATGM launcher so does about SAMHO and the ATGM firing procedure of IA..

I think NAG was never meant to be a manpad rather SAMHO was, May be a media error reporting..

But if SAMHO is ready and available, why did IA go for Javelin & Spike RFP at all? There is hardly any news of SAMHO tests and results on the net.

Because the RFI was launched years ago, SAMHO was not matured that time, But now..

SAHMO & CLGM are basically same just there launcher are different, CLGM test success tells that Missile is ok and working.

Yes sir both are same, they had different names at different point of time.

LAHAT and CLGM has few difference in terms of heavy warhead in CLGM and it is made as per Indian conditions.

I also think that Indian Army (particularly the Chief of army staff) has taken decision in wake of the VIP helicopter deal. They dont want anyone to point fingers at any point of time.

Kunal sir CLGM can be used by Indian infantry very effectively specially in non line of sight mode. Plus it has larger range then any other existing anti tank missile in IA.
