First cheer for making the court explicitly state that its directions were for all shrines in the country and not just the Hindu ones.
Second cheer for roping in the central government more actively in this case and committing itself on the issue of temple control by taking an official position. Presently, one is not sure where the Modi government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stand on this issue – in Karnataka, the BJP promises to free temples from government control before the election, but moves to take over temples in Maharashtra once the election is over. The Supreme Court has directed the central government to form a committee in two weeks and submit an interim report before 31 August after studying various aspects of temple management.

Third cheer for reminding the court about the judiciary’s limitations in dealing with issues of temple administration in light of various state-level laws or temple-specific acts so that the ‘separation of powers’ principle isn’t trampled with.

Fourth cheer for the (unsuccessful) effort to rope in the Law Commission. Sometimes the effort matters more than the result. Sai Deepak tried to get the Law Commission involved to address concerns of stakeholders who aren’t fans of state entrenchment in temple administration facilitated by various state-level acts.

Fifth cheer for securing the Supreme Court’s acceptance of distinction between contribution to temple hundi and dakshina to sevaks. The apex court had directed on 8 June that “no direct collection of the offerings is made by any Sevaks and all the offerings either in hundi or dakshina are deposited and accounted for and properly utilized. They should not be individual pockets by the Sevaks/attendants who may be given their due remuneration.”
Number 2 may set the cat among the pigeons for the BJP! If BJP doesn't articulate that it believes that Hindu temples should be outside of government interference, they could lose massive Hindu support.

Salute to Sai Deepak Iyer :hail:

Why just Sanatan Dharm(Hindu) Temples are only in Government control? Isn't it just appeasement? where oppress majority and appease Minority? People will be on the road for anything but not this, what an irony, majority don't defend itself

Is "mosque" considered under "shrine"? So now a Hindu Monk can visit any mosque in india?

Edit:
After reading the content in provided link:

"b) to explore if the temple management can consider allowing people of other faiths to offer respects and make offerings to the deity, subject to some regulatory measures,"

it is just an exploration only for "temple" management, not "shrine" management. Nothing concrete as far as anybody visiting any shrine is concerned.

Btw, what is the actual judgement? Anyone knows?

Because the "majority" is stupid enough to think that Indian government is their government and it's there for the good of Hindus. They believed it in 1947 and they still believe it now.

Seriously, SC has given another bullshit judgement to us Hindus and one of the judges out of two was Muslim!!!

"The temple management can consider, subject to such regulatory measures with regard to dress code, furnishing of a declaration or such other requirements as considered necessary, permitting every visitor, irrespective of his faith, to offer respects and make offerings to the deity," the bench said in a written order.

This part is only for (Hindu) temple management, not for mosque or church.

The court made the suggestion on the basis of an earlier judgment that held that "Hinduism, as a religion, incorporates all forms of belief without mandating the selection or elimination of any one single belief".

Translation: Hinduism has to accept whatever a Muslim or Christian does since Hinduism incorporates all forms of belief.

The top court had then held that "religion incorporates the particular belief(s) that a group of people subscribe to. Hinduism, as a religion, incorporates all forms of belief without mandating the selection or elimination of any one single belief. It is a religion that has no single founder; no single scripture and no single set of teachings. It has been described as Sanatana Dharma, namely, eternal faith, as it is the collective wisdom and inspiration of the centuries that Hinduism seeks to preach and propagate. It is keeping in mind the above precepts that we will proceed further."

Here again bullshit. First it calls Hinduism a religion and then it translates Sanatan Dharma to "eternal faith". Even I know that Hinduism is not about faith, it is about exploration of the real nature of human beings (and all world) and the verified experiences. It is not about anyone's faith. Hinduism only mentions what can be experienced by a Yogi if he follows certain paths.

The good thing is that nothing is concluded, further hearings will be done!

In the past we didn't had choice, but with introduction of NOTA in election, without voting to corrupt Congi we can definitely send message to any party be it BJP or any other. If all Hindu come together and vote NOTA instead of BJP, then it will be clear message BJP. Not to take Hindus lightly.

NOTA is not the way. We have to take on this type of ministers on a case by case basis on twitter and other avenues. Just like visa mata was taken on.
