There is no evil in this. This is not a Gods Army.. they are not Gods soldiers.

In 98 Hindu wedding members were systematically targetted and killed to make Hindus run from Jammu region too.

9 Para were tasked for an operation to do something to take revenge and send a message.

A lot of inncocents were intentionally targetted in LOC.

Killings of Hindu stopped after that but many children and women were killed in that op.

Now was that operation effective.. Yes but was it moral.. No.

Sometimes you have to cross the line but that doesn't mean they are murderers.

War is a bad thing and it changes the psychology of a human being.

Now as far as "execution for competition" is concerned you know very well who you are talking about.

An average Afghan citizen who thinks kafirs should be killed. Who helps Taliban when its night. Who gives information to Taliban to get ISAF forces killed.

You see that as a soldier and then your best friend gets killed how will it shape you.

Its easy to comment from Bombay and Delhi about morals with a cosy life... I would even kill someone if they hurt my dog.
well said man, it's so easy to talk about morality from the comfort of our homes, that shit changes when you witness the horrors of war

The tip of the spear operating amongst civilians will always deliver these results especially for long drawn out fights like N.Ireland and GWOT.

Most are extra-judicial murders, not innocent civvies being killed just to make sure that distinction is made. They aren’t ISI or Pak army and again no one’s hands are clean
In an ideal world how are these things supposed to be be handled?
The OGW I mean, those who do not directly participate in the action but support a certain group that ultimately causes casualties on your side.
How does an arm of democracy handle a Masquerading Insurgent?
And are soldiers supposed to never cross a certain line even if that means certain death or further reduction in operational success.

Well thats a BS rationalization no? no Saints for sure but this is evil. Executing people for a competition?!
Evil may be too strong a word. Those killed were far the most part, from a list of Taliban handed to the SAS by British intelligence. There was a cat and mouse game being played. Following specific instructions handed down to the DEVGRU & Delta teams that shooting was only allowed when the person in question was armed or with weapons in close quarters, most of the targets slept with their weapons in the next room. American special forces found this very frustrating because people arrested would end up being quickly released because of Afghan pressure. Seems the SAS decided that they can bend the rule a bit. Hardly unheard of.
