The sad part after lot of waiting is that it will have limited combat abilities where as the official name "The Tactical Air-Borne Platform for Surveillance-Beyond Horizon 201 (Tapas-BH 201)" means that its a "Surveillance" platform and not "combat". what was initially expected was a combat platform.... means we still be dependent on foreign platforms for combat drones....

Arming it now will increase development and testing time. Focusing on surveillance part is not a bad idea.

Get it accepted first, then focus on arming it.

The SuperHeron seem to have the hard points which can carry a pair of Hellfire like missiles. Or Am I seeing something different?

Not sure which missiles but it looks like something which can be armed if its required .. IDF never openly acknowledged they used UAV for strikes i am sure they would tried and done it secretly ...

Ghatak and AMCA both will be complementing each other in term of the technology used.

Err.. (GHATAK IS THE NAME OF ENGINE! NAME OF UAV IS AURA MATE.) Sorry.
Plus if AURA inherits something from AMCA, that's just because of simultaneous development.
AURA will fly before AMCA and AMCA will come with improvements and more stealths based on experience from AURA.

#Correction:
We can't say it as a TD for AMCA whereas it can elaborate some tech for AMCA.
AMCA & AURA both are different projects and both are going in parallel with full swing.
And Ghatak is a version of KAVERI without reheat Capability.
