Sad to know that a transport helicopter was shot down. I hope the Russians understand that this is war and there will be casualties. It is better to fight it in Syria than have terrorists strike inside Russia (Moscow Theatre, Volgograd, Beslan, etc..) causing civilian casualties.

Their death will not be in vain.
It was accepted from the Day 1.
It is Double sad because it was not combat flight but humanitarian aid and reconciliation negotiations mission.

The Russians bombed the helicopter crash area. Now, a lot of those "moderate" terrorists celebrating the helicopter crash have been blown to bits. Retribution is sweet.

There's nothing sweet in retribution for those who cannot be returned, but it is the only way to moderate the "moderate opposition". This trick works perfectly since Afgan war.

Russian humanitarian aid convoy has moved to Aleppo.
It should take down 500km of dangerous lands to its target:

Assad, Russia go on the offensive in Syria while UN sees 'very positive' discussions

Meantime, regime forces were on an offensive of their own, not only in Aleppo but at besieged areas throughout the devastated country, with strong Russian air support.
A key factor in the battle is incessant Russian air strikes, which have, according to military observers, continued at a high pitch, even as Russian officials remain involved in international ceasefire talks and claim to be holding open “humanitarian corridors” to allow Aleppo residents to escape from bombing and artillery barrages.

Russian Tupolev-22M3 strikes Raqqa again with pin-point accuracy:

On the other hand, women soldiers from Syria fight on. Some will still say women cannot fight; apparently that makes them feel better about themselves.

Moscow and Tehran sign deal allowing Russian jets to use Hamadan airbase

Reportedly, Russia has deployed 6 Tupolev-22M3 bombers, along with an unspecified number of Ilyushin-76s and Sukhoi-34s in Hamedan air base in Iran. This is due to the fact that the airstrip at Hmeneim is not fit for large bombers.

Russians have deployed 6 Tu-22M-3M and 6 Su-34 on Hamedan AB.
Su-35S and SU-30SM are flying from Khmeymym AB to cover strike missions.

which weapon is this ??

Looks like a Gatling-Type gun.

It is unclear what the size of the round is.

It could be the YakB 12.7 mm Gatling Gun, usually fitted in the front of the Mil-24/35 Hind, but here, fitted on some APC:

It could also be the Gryazev-Shipunov-30-6:

@gadeshi, do you have any information?
