ISIS may look very strong today but its future is bleak. It will be eradicated, as no major power wants it.

US does not want to destroy ISIS completely. If it wanted to, it could have done so much earlier. US wants to bleed ISIS to some extent to which it becomes weak, then use ISIS to do its own nefarious/dirty benefits. Suits them....snake is biting back. Obama has realised US has failed miserably in Syria to push its mission. Whereas Russia wants complete eradication of ISIS. Palmyra has been free. It's a matter of time before Aleppo, Damascus, Latakia etc. provinces get freedom too. Atleast Russia (together with Syrian forces) have successfully managed to push their missions step by step. A complete slap to those people who think US and NATO allies are doing same as Russia.

General information on the application of measures for the reconciliation of opposing sides

Within last 24 hours, truce agreement has been achieved with representatives of an inhabited locality in the Aleppo province.

The total number of settlements, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 71.

Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with a field commander of an armed opposition detachment active in the Homs province.

The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has remained 51.

Results of ceasefire monitoring

The ceasefire regime has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 13 ceasefire violations have been registered (Damascus – 5, Latakia – 3, Homs and Aleppo – 2 for each).

Armed formations of Jaysh al-Islam opposition grouping, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, carried out shelling with mortars against Jaubar, al-Sakhiayh, Harasta, Duma and Kabun in the Damascus province.

In the Latakia province, militants of Ahrar al-Sham grouping, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, carried out shelling with mortars and multiple launch rocket systems against Sandran, Beit Smaira and Shmaisa.

Formations of Free Syrian Army performed mortar shelling against Tell al-Tut in the Hama province, and positions of the government troops near Teir Maala and Tell al-Dahab in the Homs province.

In Aleppo, militants of Ahrar al-Sham fired with small arms and mortars against positions of the government troops in suburbs of Sheikh Maqsood and Salah al-Din city sectors.

Russian Aerospace Forces did not make strikes on opposition armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.

Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria

Ruheiba (Damascus province) and Abtin (Aleppo province) have received 4.5 tons of humanitarian cargos.

Medical workers of the Russian Centre have provided medical assistance to 22 civilians.

Humanitarian convoys for citizens of inhabited localities in the Damascus province are being formed.

Additional information

Recovery works in al-Qaryatayn (Homs province) are continued. Syrian repair brigades have cleaned 12 meters of streets from obstructions, recovered 200 meters of electricity transmitting lines. Syrian sappers have cleared 150 meters of roads and defused 10 demolition bombs.

According to information received from civilians, Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist grouping continues concentrating its forces to the north-west from Aleppo and in north-eastern regions of the Latakia province.

Within last 24 hours, shelling with multiple launch rocket systems has been performed against Fuah city (Idlib province), which had been blocked by terrorists.

General information on the application of measures for the reconciliation of opposing sides

Within last 24 hours, truce agreement has been achieved with representatives of an inhabited locality in the Homs province.

The total number of settlements, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 72.

In the Damascus province, ceasefire agreement with a representative of armed formations (more than 500 men) has been achieved.

The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has reached 52.

Results of ceasefire monitoring

The ceasefire regime has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 9 ceasefire violations have been registered (Latakia and Damascus – 4 for each, Aleppo – 1).

In the Latakia province, militants of Ahrar al-Sham grouping, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, carried out shelling with mortars and multiple launch rocket systems against positions of the government troops near Sandran, Rasha, Safar and Shmaisa.

Militants of Jaysh al-Islam opposition grouping carried out mortar shelling against a military hospital in Harasta and units of pro-government troops near Jaubar, Marj Sultan and Arbil (Damascus).

After performing artillery shelling, militants of Ahrar al-Sham grouping took efforts to launch offensive against units of the Syrian army near Jebel Agam (to the south from Aleppo). Having suffered losses, terrorists retreated to positions, which they had kept before.

Russian Aerospace Forces did not make strikes on opposition armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.

Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria

More than 20 tons of food products have been have been delivered by the Syrian leadership with usage of Russian parachute systems to Deir ez-Zor, which had been besieged by ISIS militants.

Humanitarian convoys to citizens of 2 inhabited localities in the Hama province and camps for internally displaced persons in the Latakia province are being formed.

The remains of the ‘Russian Rambo’ killed in the battle for Palmyra have been recovered by Kurdish forces more than a month after the 25-year-old special forces officer heroically called an airstrike in on himself when pinned down by Islamic State terrorists.

“At the request of the Russian Federation, the defense units of the Kurdish people have managed to get the body of the Russian serviceman killed near Tadmur [from Islamic State terrorists],” a Syrian People’s Protection Units (YPG) representative told RIA Novosti.

The body of Alexander Prokhorenko was handed over to the Russian government, the spokesman added. No other details about the operation to recover the body have been shared with the news outlet
