RUSSIAN AEROSPACE FORCES CARRIED OUT 5,850 AIRSTRIKES DURING LAST TWO MONTH – RUSSIAN MILITARY

Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted at least 2,000 sotries and carried out 5,850 airstrikes on terrorist targets in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
Chief of the Russian General Staff’s Main Operational Directorate Col. Gen. Sergei Rudskoy emphasized that the most important terrorist objects were hit by Kalibr cruise missiles and by strikes of the Tu-95MC strategic bombers.
“The most important objects of the Daesh [ISIS] terrorists were struck by high-precision long-ranged weapons.
So, Kalibr cruise missiles destroyed six objects. T95MS aircraft destroyed four objects with Kh-101 missiles,” he said.
Rudskoy said that about 20,000 square kilometers of Syrian territory were liberated from terrorist during the period.
According to the general, Syrian forces have liberated at least 55 towns from ISIS and killed some 2,000 terrorists in the province of Aleppo since June 1 and now the Syrian military and its allies continue advancing against ISIS along the Euphrates River.

In the northeast of Aleppo province, in the area of the Euphrates River, the Syrian armed forces continue an offensive against the Daesh [ISIS] terrorists. At least 55 populated areas were liberated in the region since June 1,” Rudskoy said.
Last weekend, reports appeared that government forces
reached the Euphrates River and took control of a part of the al-Bukamal-Aleppo highway.
