Ukrainians are throwing shit against wall and hoping it sticks while Ukrainians and Ukrainian sympathizers on twitter, Facebook, YouTube and so on are licking it up. I’m amazed at the rumors such as the “Ghost of Kiev” supposedly some Ukrainian Mig-29 pilot shooting down 6 or 7 Russian aircraft including an SU-35 (never mind there is no evidence of SU-35s involved in the conflict). Nor is there any wreckage to support any shoot down, at least show some HUD video. Just as bad people are posting video games such DCS claiming it shows a Mig-29 shooting down an SU-35. Also people are posting videos from that Libyan Mig-23 shoot down claiming it is a Russian jet over Ukraine.

Totally believable that a vintage 1980s mig-29 armed with vintage missiles flown by pilot(s) that never get flight time and have poor training and no experience just manages to shoot down a bunch of Russian aircraft 3 decades newer flown by much better and experienced Russian pilots. Said Russian aircraft also have much more advanced ECM, radars, missiles and avionics in general. Ukrainian Mig-29 magically evades S-400s, S-300s, Pantsirs, Buks, manages to detect Russian aircraft using an interior radar with significantly less range while somehow surviving intense Russian jamming that managed to jam US EW aircraft over Syria.
