So Russia voted against us in UNSC after nuke test in 1998.
But the silver lining is that resolution 1172 was against both India and Pakistan, and not just us.
All 15/15 members voted in favour of the resolution.
Ukraine remarked against us, but so did Russian President ("disappointed with India blah blah blah")

The following post is not addressed to any member but a general statement.

We have abstained because we want to keep the window of dialogue open.

This is our official response and the matter closes here.

One thing has been established so far. Russia has clearly come out of its Soviet shadow and now is one of the strongest powers in Asia/Europe if not the strongest. Its military is modern and fully mechanized. Russian MIC is going to mint based on how its weapons perform since they will all have the "battle tested" stamp. Especially those Brahmos clone Kalibr missiles.

Kalibr is not Brahmos clone. Brahmos is derived from Oniks/Yakhont.

Kalibr is a family of subsonic long range CM, some of them have terminal supersonic speed.

I don’t think Americans understand how war works.

They are praising the Ukranian army for holding out for just… a day.

These sort of invasions takes weeks and weeks. Right now, Russia is securing a firm base in Ukraine to take key cities. They won’t immediately assault the cities without adequate planning. They need to capture key land around them and then strategize.
