Couldn't have disagreed more, cause that's just your opinion, not a fact!! In reality, religion and morality are to be defined differently and have no definitional connections with each other, period!!Wrong, your moral and character building efforts have been outsourced to the religious members of the society you are a part of.
There is no such thing as Atheistic moral code.
Every single part of your morality has and will have a religious origin.
They are wrong. We are Right. It is precisely that simple.
Yeah, so says every other religion. That's just an opinion. And as the saying goes - opinion is like an asshole, everyone's got one.
Sorry pal, but someone like you lecturing about rationality is akin to a whore preaching about sanctity.muh current year arguments are poor rationality.
Again, just your opinion, unless you claim yourself to be a psychic, in which case, you have to present evidence in support of your claim.Religion will be relevant even when humanity constructs a dyson sphere.
Your understanding of Religion has been rotted by monotheism and it's atheistic response for you to hold your positions you currently hold. And how do you know that??!!
Yes, you got that one right, at least the first part. But you got the cause completely wrong as I've explained it before, the reason I lack any understanding of theology is simply due to I having been born into a completely non-religious household and therefore, having been spared of any kind of contact with any religion and the mind-fuckery that comes along with it. That's it and thank GOD for that (I say the last part ironically, in case you couldn't tell). You don't have any sufficient understanding of theology and epistemology beyond the childish religions of the west.
Can't say about Keymags but tanknet is still up and running, here - https://www.tanknet.org/index.php?/forum/29-discussion-forums/Hi, if there is any oldie here, I wanted to ask if old forums like Tanknet and Keymags are still alive or they are dead? Cannot find them.
it doesnt change the fact that it represents decayed concepts in hinduismWrong. This is not psychoanalysis. There are accurate well derived definitions for the terms in question, Regardless of your dislike for them.
percisely why i am not reverend of manuSMRITI. An obscure larp in indian history elevated by the british due to the flood myth seemingly validating their biblical story in their eyes.Hinduism basis is holy vedas not smriti larper and the other isms you talked about aint dharma rather heresy against hinduism to weaken it.
Won't work. Russians in 2014 encountered a semi loyalist population. In the last 8 years, teens who were 14-15 have been brainwashed by Globohomo US into hating Russia.Putin in Vishwaguru mode. He reckons he can use restraint on the battlefield to 'un brainwash' Ukrops. I suspect he is going to be disappointed as this wrongly assumes Ukrops are capable of thinking for themselves.
amusing dawkinsian cope, but no.Couldn't have disagreed more, cause that's just your opinion, not a fact!! In reality, religion and morality are to be defined differently and have no definitional connections with each other, period!!
Oh and this is what Plato had to say over 2000 years ago, enjoy -
"if the gods approve of some actions it must be because those actions are good, in which case it cannot be the gods' approval that makes them good. The alternative view makes divine approval entirely arbitrary: if the gods had happened to approve of torture and disapprove of helping our neighbors, torture would have been good and helping our neighbors bad. Some modern theists have attempted to extricate themselves from this type of dilemma by maintaining that God is good and so could not possibly approve of torture; but these theists are caught in a trap of their own making, for what can they possibly mean by the assertion that God is good? That God is approved of by God?"
Now read it, then digest it, then ruminate on it for a time and then read it once again - in that order.
Wow!! That's gotta be among the most condescending and insane pile of horse manure of an argument I've ever seen!!
I call bullshit on your claim because in 2015, a team of developmental neuroscientists at the University of Chicago, in Illinois, had run a scientific study on this very subject among school students across six different nations and their findings directly and decisively contradict your notion.
Here, check it out for yourself - Study Finds Religion Actually Tends to Make Kids Less Generous
So this is what I have got for you -
Honestly, I find this quite fascinating, this trait that is rather unique to your religious types - that you guys can pass off your own narratives and opinions based solely on faulty assumptions and borne out of your ignorance as facts with so much authority and confidence!! Ignorance is indeed a bliss it would appear (for the ignorant at the very least).
That is something that is objectively and demonstrably untrue!!
Objective morality, in fact, predates any form of organized religion!! Heck, one could even make the argument that it predates the advent of modern humans altogether!! We can see examples of morality in the wild among populations of various social creatures including hyenas, wild dogs, elephants, prides of lions, and of course, our hairy cousins like chimps, bonobos, and gorillas as well (duh?!).
Biologists have observed lions taking care of members of their pride who have been rendered unable to hunt due to advanced age/ injury and even taking care and breastfeeding cubs whose mothers had been killed. The same with hyenas and wild dogs and wolves!!
The apes take it to a whole n'other level though and demonstrate a far higher level of mutual cooperation, to the point where it has been described by scientists as 'uncannily human like'.
These are all examples of objective morality, however crude they may appear to you. So by your logic, we'd have to assume that those lower creatures, lacking the same level of cognitive abilities as us Humans also possess a sense of religion and divinity!! Preposterous, ain't it??
In reality, objective morality as we know it is unique neither to religion nor to modern humans!! It is nothing but a by-product of evolution, a favorable genetic trait that got selected as it increased the chances for the survival of a species, something we have inherited from our ancestors, through millions of years of evolution. Therefore, it can be said with confidence that morality is nothing god-given as has been portrayed by the con artists we call religious leaders and something that can actually be easily explained away by evolutionary biology and behavioral psychology.
I'd like to end my rants on the following note -
A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, empathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis should be necessary. And if you believe you need the fear of divine punishment in the form of eternal damnation in order for you to keep yourself from committing acts of rapes, murders, and thievery, then my friend, you are an asshole and I shudder to think of an alternate reality where those things have been perceived by the con artists as God's will and therefore the sacred duty as per the likes of you.
Do think about it.
And how do you know that??!!
