What humans achieve or don’t achieve is completely irrelevant in cosmic space time. Our species is just another grain of sand and no way its existence or disappearance prove/disprove a higher intelligence.

I never claimed one way or the other. I just asked a simple question - whether religion has any relevancy left in this day and age. I do not concern myself with the existence of a higher intelligence or a lack thereof.

it makes sense to perfectly healthy ones too. Which is why the dominant majority of the species are religious to some degree. What does not make sense, is fanaticism in either end of spectrum - atheism or religiosity
Those guys/girls sending rockets for India to Mars are some of the most religious ones! For some it's apparent in their attire for others they do pujas for successful launch, and send Upanishadic verses on spaceships, they have reconciled the two. It's not a question of either Science or Religion, both aren't mutually antagonistic(depends on the religion), especially for a religion like Hinduism based on Upanishads which gives the highest authority to human faculty, it doesn't have to be either, it can and is both.

Well, just because those scientists and engineers happen to be religious persons, does not make it true (or false). The thing is, our beliefs have no bearing on facts (or the cosmos for that matter) and the fact is - there is no evidence to suggest that there is a higher power, and if there is, then we are yet to find it.

Hinduism basis is holy vedas not smriti larper and the other isms you talked about aint dharma rather heresy against hinduism to weaken it.
One can definitely have a character even without religion in one's life and not have a character even with religion. We see such examples in our daily lives all the freaking time.
