Article states that Russia makes up for 7% of of US oil consumption - its significant but not something that can't be replaced.
EXFARTS..... chewtiya think tankiyas...Its the time for doing what our Babooz are best of doing which is "peace and tranquility from both sides" aka "both sides"ism... Russia Is A Major Supplier Of Oil To The U.S.
As Russian troops move into the separatist regions of Ukraine, it's worth noting how much these events could impact the U.S. economy.www.forbes.com
I think it is always better to have a buffer state between two strong regional players. Assimilating buffer states increases cost and administrative overheads.Start from Bhutan.

I don't think anyone in Europe is going to follow France or Germany they have just proved themselves to be selfish impotent über cuckverts.I had mentioned in one of posts 2 months earlier that, we may soon see new split in EU, and the new grouping will be led by France and Germany.

The policies of USA are very capricious . You never know when it changes .. Attitude of USA deep state for India has been a mix bag . So becoming a complete yes man of USA is out of question . We shd nt ditch Russia but we must end our dependence on parts , equipment as Chinese threat keeps rising on border .Assume we choose the West.
The west will drop us like a pile of excrement the moment they get a good deal with Russia and won't battle an eyelid.
We must also realize that the gas that Russia supplies is very critical for the world economy. West cannot battle Russia either physically or with sanctions.
Assume we choose Russia.
Russia does not have much to offer us and we will still suffer.
Neither of these options are going to work for us.
Its time we take shifting sides as situation dictates and work towards an outcome that is useful for us. We need to work with both sides and work hard.
Problem is if Russia keeps going like this (from his today's speech it seems like he wants to reconstruct soviet union), and we are the only major country buying weaponry from them and have close defence ties with them, then Western countries will make sure not to provide us with any advanced civilian or military tech, heck they might even freeze FTA negotiations due to that. And the thing is with current trend Russia is falling behind China in defence tech, so we can't rely on them 100% either.P5, NWO and Ukraine crisis
There is a hidden agreement between P5 nations that the world is theirs to take and rule. There are maybe some territorial overlap but they will never be involved in a direct conflict with each other. This agreement is the basis of entire NWO, International bodies like UN, WEF, etc. Its in every P5 state's intrest to continue with current world system as it benifits them. It gives them power over other counties.
The issues of territorial ambitions among P5 isn't something new. Its an ongoing conflict between P5 states since 50s. In all these conflicts they have always used other countries as a playground for geopolitics and nothing indicates that this will ever change in near future.
Where does India stand?
India is a regional power and an important economy just like Japan, Germany, others. As all non P5 countries are treated as second rate power by P5, Therefore there is an expectation of loyalty from P5 states towards India and others. A country must ally with a P5 state, this is the expectation. Unless current world order changes this will remain so.
What should India do?
Non alignment isn't an option. It never was. However strategic balance can be maintained to some level. India can address certain issues in Russia's favour and some on US' favour. Going into a single camp will mean full hostility from other side. Also when you are cornered on one side, whatever side it is they will try to take full advantage of the situation. Therefore it is intelligent to walk on the narrow middle path that we are walking right now.
Situation in Ukraine and WW3 rumours
IMO Russia will have its way with Ukraine and whatever is left will perhaps becomes part of NATO. This way both sides are happy and both can beat their chest. There will be some economic sanctions and some diplomatic boycotts. The fictional WW3 will not happen over Ukraine nor it will happen over Taiwan. The geopolitical games among P5 nation will continue untill a real threat from one or more non P5 nation emerges.
The real loser in this conflict will be Ukraine. Its their country being divided and its their people who are suffering the hardships. This has happened to all countries in past who thought they can oversmart P5 states.
India and future of the world
Nothing lasts forever. The hegemony of P5 states and their control over the world too will not last forever. The global organisations are fast losing all credibility. The technological and economical gap among P5 and other powers is slowly narrowing. Other countries too have their ambitions and their own geopolitical realities that needs to be addressed. If ignored for long a true WW3 type event could emerge which will change the world for a very long time.
