This was from 3 days ago- diesel has gone up another 5 p since. It was 122-125 p/litre only 5-6 months ago and £1/ litre 2 years ago. Also the difference between petrol and diesel has risen to almost 15-18 p per litre when it always used to be only 2-3 p for as long as I can remember.

All this indicates an escalating shortage of diesel in Europe and I can't see why relatively cash strapped countries like Poland would ship their dwindling supplies to Ukraine when they know fully well it'd be blown up the minute it crosses the border?
