How about we get designers to come as visiting faculty to India from NPKB (НПКБ Невское Проектно-Конструкторское Бюро)? I don't mind if design collaboration is done with NPKB, although I think India is capable of designing ACs.

Sevmash (Севмаш) is more than welcome to set up shop in India. The ship-building, if in India, will generate jobs in India.

Because Russia sees India as a gullible subservient customer who will fork out billions to pay their corrupt babus. Gorshkov case and point. If India wants a true partner to develop a CVN, the only good choice is France.
we will get it by 2033 when russian delivers

Why would India fork over billions and cash and thousands of jobs when it is capable of building its own carrier? Seems counterintuitive.
I doubt we can design a nuclear carrier without any help

We can just like we made Arihant, It was also a impossible task..

Btw, Indian design such as IAC-1 had lots of supervision from US / French and Russian advisers..

Arihant was only possible because of the help of Russian scientists who worked at the building site of the sub.

By using your submarine reactor?

There is no Russian physical involvement, rather advisers, DCN also helped in Arihant project in similar way..

Its the Indian who produced a design based on year of working, you can check the links if you like..

first deliver one AC, them make nuke power carrier then we will pay you guys. In the mean time we will complete our two carriers, so total 4 will be at our disposal.

Should they use your leaky reactors? I doubt India wants to expose their crew and citizens to such radiation. They certainly don't want to use the UK, Astute can't even make 20 knots. A partnership with the US on such a deal wouldn't happen.

they also know we dont have the guts or ability to INNOVATE ( up until now, at least - hope that changes tomorrow ) so they gonna sell us some new tricks

besides the usual reasons - namely - milk our economy for the free cash - give non-critical TOT and then - deliver late - but not before upping the price at every possible opportunity

the old soviet relationship is over - hope our defence folks will tune up to it

The question is: are you sure India can build?

Its a no brainer. We can afford it. We don't have enough shipyard capacity to build more than the planned AC s. Just say that yes

cant we give someone else a chance - eg france , ukraine , perhaps even 20knots britain should be given a chance if they do RnD in india ? - cant we be a bit creative on this - must we only go the usual routes ? recently noray did some innovation in this area of nuke powered subs - perhpas thay have the yard workshop capacity available ?

India is very much capable of building large aircraft carriers, nuke subs and other such complex ships. The problem is poor infra to manufacture these ships quick enough in India also nearly all shipyards have order books filled up till 2025.
it is better not to induct a ship than give it to russians for manufacturing. They themselves have bought Mistrel class LPDs from France.
