The machine has proven itself in Afghanistan. However, now there is already insufficient armoring of the car and an increase in the efficiency of fire is required, especially at night. The combat module "Berezhok" developed in 2010 was supposed to increase the firepower of the vehicle, which, in principle, the creators succeeded. Tests of the upgraded BMP-2M were completed in 2019, its combat capabilities have increased by about three times. The developers decided not to change the main strike armament of the BMP-2, the 2A42 gun. To enhance firepower, an AGS-30M automatic grenade launcher was installed on the BMP-2 and the PKT machine gun was replaced with an upgraded version of the PKTM. Four Kornet anti-tank systems were installed on the tower to attack targets such as tanks and armored personnel carriers at a distance of 5 to 10 kilometers. During modernization, the existing BMP-2 turret does not change, but is simply upgraded. The BMP-2M armored vehicle received new sights with night and thermal imaging observation channels, weapons and observation devices are stabilized and can automatically hold the target. Regarding the topic of booking an armored personnel carrier, various options were developed to enhance the armor of the vehicle, but none of them has become widespread at the moment. In general, it is impossible to improve everything on a car, since improving some characteristics worsens other characteristics of the car.

The Russian army began to actively use the Inohodets UAV, this is a strike version of the Orion UAV tested in Syria. The development of the Russian UAV "Orion" began in 2011, since then it has been constantly developing. The drone is quite large, the wingspan is 16 meters, the length of the device is 8 meters, but thanks to the use of composite materials, even a propeller is made of them, the drone is difficult to detect by air defense systems. The drone uses elements of artificial intelligence, thanks to which, in the event of some kind of failure, loss of communication with the operator or other emergency situation, the device is able to return to the base, land and drive into the hangar. The UAV is equipped with an anti-icing system, which allows it to be used in northern latitudes. The Pacer drone is capable of conducting reconnaissance and correcting fire with laser-guided munitions, and can itself deliver high-precision missile and bomb strikes. The armament of the drone is KAB-20 and KAB-50 corrected aerial bombs, UPAB-50 guided gliding bomb and Kh-50 guided missile. The drone is also armed with X-UAV ammunition, this is an air version of the Kornet-D ATGM missile, the missile can hit targets at a distance of up to 10 km and be guided by a laser beam and using a thermal and television system. The average height of the use of the drone is 5 kilometers, which will allow it to avoid being hit by MANPADS systems. The range of the drone with a repeater is up to 300 km. The drone is equipped with radar and optoelectronic reconnaissance equipment. The takeoff weight of the UAV is 1200 kg, the payload weight is up to 200 kg, the flight duration is at least 24 hours, the cruising speed is 180 km/h, the drone can rise to a height of up to 7500 meters.

The Eleron-7 UAV is built on the basis of the serially produced Eleron-3SV complex, the developers have updated the airframe, power plant, battery and payload equipment of the drone. The Eleron T28ME UAV is designed for round-the-clock aerial optoelectronic reconnaissance at a distance of up to 40 kilometers and an altitude of up to 5000 meters. The UAV can fly autonomously, for this, before starting, a task program is entered into the onboard memory and the drone flies in radio silence mode. The drone is equipped with electric motors and is able to stay in the air for up to 3 hours, while developing a speed of up to 130 km/h. The UAV uses a parachute system to land. The takeoff weight of the drone is 6.5 kg, the maximum payload is 1.5 kg.

An unusual hybrid of the MT-LB armored vehicle and the Russian 2M-3 naval gun. An unusual hybrid of military equipment appeared in the Russian army. On the chassis of the lightly armored transporter MT-LB, developed in 1964, a 25-mm double-barreled automatic naval anti-aircraft gun 2M-3 was installed. The 2M-3 gun is reliable and put into service in 1953, the firing range of this gun for ground targets is 7500 meters, for air targets 2800 meters, the rate of fire is up to 1000 rounds per minute. This batch of armored vehicles was converted in Vladivostok and entered the 155th Separate Marine Brigade. It is not clear how this installation will be used, the MT-LB is not suitable for attacks, it is poorly armored, perhaps it will be some kind of mobile firing points that will dig in or quickly transfer to the enemy’s breakthrough line.

In this case, the calculation uses the 9P151 launcher and the 9M115 HEAT missile with a flight range of up to 1000 meters. The armor penetration of the 9M 115 AT GM "Metis" missile is up to 550 mm. The time to bring the complex into combat position is 12 seconds, the rate of fire is up to 4 rounds per minute.

There is no data on this model, as well as on the Lancet-5 and Lancet-10 drones of which information sometimes appears. It is not clear whether the Lancet-3M will replace the Lancet-3 version, or whether they will be released in parallel, one thing is for sure, the drone is constantly being improved. All drone models have an electric motor, and the drone itself is made of plastic and composite materials, which makes it difficult for air defense systems to detect it. The operating altitude of the drone is from 50-500 meters, in practice, as it turned out, it can fly below 50 meters. Drone "Lancet" contains three types of interchangeable guidance systems - coordinate, optoelectronic and combined, there is also a television communication channel that allows the operator to visually aim the drone at the target. The UAV can be equipped with a laser target designator, a target search sensor, a gas analyzer and a radiometer. The drone can operate in the “aerial mining” mode, which means patrolling the airspace and destroying other UAVs; there are no shots of its operation in this mode yet. The Russian frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" of project 22350, which is now on a long voyage in the Indian Ocean, conducted exercises to search for submarines. The main project of the bureau is now the ultra-cheap Privet-82 UAV, within the framework of this project, the concept of using the Podkhvat drones has been developed. Let's explain in a simple way, soldiers on the front line do not always have drones, and it’s impossible to carry a lot of them, so drone launch pads are located in the rear at a distance of about 20 km, which serve several units on the front line. If a soldier on the front line notices an enemy, a drone is called from the rear, which flies to the front line in radio silence. On approaching the front line, the drone control is picked up by the operator, video transmission is turned on and the operator directs the drone to the target. The advantages of this solution are that soldiers do not need to carry a lot of UAVs and catapults with them to launch them, drones are used where they are needed in unlimited quantities. Drones will be controlled through repeaters, thanks to which the drone can fly very low above the ground and is difficult to intercept. The flight range of the current kamikaze UAV prototype has already reached 30 kilometers, while the payload is from 3 to 4 kilograms, and 5.5 kilograms are already being tested. The Bureau is also developing the "Privet 120" UAV with a payload of 20 kilograms. Small-scale production of the Privet-82 UAV has already been launched, 33 drones have been produced, but the designers need funding.

MANPADS "Igla" has been repeatedly modernized, the most modern version of the complex is MANPADS "Igla-S". In addition to aircraft and helicopters, the 9K338 complex can also be used to destroy cruise missiles and UAVs flying at speeds below 1600 kilometers per hour. MANPADS uses a new 9M342 missile weighing 11.7 kg, with a 2.5-kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead. In the optical homing head of missiles, two photodetectors are used, which provide better selection of thermal noise. To achieve the maximum effect of defeat, the rocket is configured to hit not in the engine nozzle, but in the central part of the target. The probability of hitting a fighter-class target with a single missile is 80 to 90%. MANPADS "Igla" was used in all wars and has proven itself well. The complex is capable of hitting targets at ranges up to 6,000 meters and altitudes up to 3,500 meters. The mass of MANPADS in the combat position is 17 kg, the readiness time is 12 seconds. The price of the Igla-S MANPADS is 80 thousand dollars.
