Russia looking for replacement for “troubled” Pantsir air defense system


According to sources in the Ministry of "Defence of the Russian Federation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the Russian Army and Navy are dissatisfied with Pantsir complex and looking on absolute new air defense systems. For the army, the Pantsir air defense system proved too heavy, complex and not effective to protect against most of the potential threats. To protect the ships in the coastal zone and in harbors, the naval version of Pantsir has also become too expensive and not very effective."

Mazda Sollers plant increased the production by 5% in 2019

According to the results of 2019, Mazda Sollers plant in Vladivostok produced 32,789 Mazda cars, which is higher by 5.3% in compare with the previous year. This was reported to the agency "AUTOSTAT" in the press service of the enterprise.

The most popular model in the Far Eastern conveyor is Mazda CX-5 crossover with 24,770 produced cars (+ 3.7%). The assembly of Mazda 6 sedans grew by 14.5% and reached 6,066 cars. In addition, 1953 seven-seat Mazda CX-9 SUVs rolled off the Mazda Sollers assembly line, which corresponds to the level of 2018 year.

By the results of 2019, the crossover Mazda CX-5 remains the best seller of Mazda in the Russian market; its sales remained at the level of the previous year and reached 22,565 units.
