Crass vote bank politics-the Sikhs are the single largest ethnic Indian group in Canada- plus a pressure point against India, when they(Canadian government) feel they need it
Esp Khali dimaagis. Canada made an extra effort to store only that variety of them. They even enacted filters where they denied Sikhs visa who fought on behalf of India. See this is all by design.

Look at the bright side; when these criminals run away from security forces, we know where they would run. I hope that their government realizes the mistake of harbouring these violent fanatics and takes action before they become like UK or Sweden.

Delhi: Dr EAM S Jaishankar on Canada: "They seem driven by vote-bank politics. Their responses have been constrained by what they regard as vote bank compulsions. If there are activities in Canada that impinge on our national security & integrity, then we will have to respond... it is something which is a continuing conversation with Canada, not always satisfactory, but something on which we have been very clear...You can see that this has impacted our ties in many ways in the last few years..."

It's not strange that India & China actually share more in common than both of us do with the west. If only CCP understood the vision of the much maligned Nehru we wouldn't be where we are. The world then & now was & is big enough to accommodate both of us . Result of 1962 - CCP is still isolated with their only support base being pariah states like Paxtan DPRK & now perhaps Iran .

Sometimes I wonder whether this overwhelming paranoid urge to dominate & winner takes all approach is unique to the CCP or whether it's an intrinsic Chinese trait ? Irrespective , we're where we're today & there's unfortunately a good chance that once CCP is sorted out the attention shifts to India. In such a scenario we've far too many faultlines as compared to China.

Canada’s worthless argument about Khalistani noise makers, as freedom of speech, is not going anywhere. Trade talks as a consequence of cold treatment to PM Trudeau have been suspended. Tough luck. Trade either way is less than 1% of the total trade, hence suspension does not hurt. Now the trade talks or any improvement in atmosphere has to wait for change of government in Canada in about two years.

Li Zaiming Painfully Criticized "Yin Xiyue Assisting Japanese Crime"

On August 24th, Japan insisted on initiating the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. According to the Global Times, Moon Jae-in, the former President of South Korea, criticized on the social platform that day.

Moon Jae-in wrote that the Japanese side opposed Japan's nuclear contaminated water discharge into the sea, which not only caused serious anxiety to South Korean citizens, but also caused huge economic losses to the water supply industry.

He also criticized the current South Korean government for mishandling this matter and called on it to take strong support measures to compensate for the losses suffered by the aquaculture industry.

Despite opposition from various parties, Japan forcibly initiated the discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea, which has attracted opposition from various parties in South Korea. On the 24th, South Korean environmental and civic groups held a protest at the Haiyuntai Beach in Busan, raising slogans along the beach with the words "Stop Discharging" and "Protect Our Oceans".

The Korean National Daily published an editorial on the 23rd stating that Japan's discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the sea is a "historic crime". Although the Japanese government has always emphasized that the decision to discharge water into the sea is "scientific", no one can be fully responsible for the continuous discharge of nuclear contaminated water for more than 30 years.

But what is clearly different from the Korean people is the attitude of the South Korean government.

On the 22nd, the South Korean government responded to the launch of a nuclear contaminated water discharge plan by the Oda government, stating that "there are no scientific and technological issues with Japan's discharge plan," which sparked public opinion controversy.

South Korean Prime Minister Han Tak soo said on the 24th that "experts around the world generally believe that there is no need to worry too much about marine food safety.

On the 25th, Lee Jae ming, the leader of South Korea's largest opposition party, the Common Democratic Party, criticized Japan for ultimately choosing the path of becoming an environmental war criminal. He criticized the South Korean government and said that the Yoon Seok hyeon government will remain in the annals of history as a co culprit in assisting Japanese crime.

Tragedy strikes Kashmiri Hindu family in Brampton, Canada. Can't say that deaths of ethnic Indians are disproportionate( to other ethnicities) but its pretty bad nonetheless. At least one media calling the fire suspicious.

Needless to say, it's also shameful when ethnic Indians are involved in scams( 3 that I can remember offhand) , as well as hit and run accidents, 4 that I recall. Both these types of crimes in the last 2 years. Other Indians are of course not responsible for these wrongdoings, but it can't sit well with Indians/ persons of Indian origin.

Yeah as if the world was crime-free before the Indians arrived. Save this hyperbole for another audience, Indians have stopped listening. A message to the NRIs and PIOs, keep this monkey on your shoulders, we won't take it. Your burden not ours.

Not our burden. NRIs and PIOs must fight their own wars in their respective adopted countries. We did not ask them to settle down in the foreign lands. We are not missing those guys either. The best we can do is to establish a mutually beneficial transactional relation.
