One can't have the full rights of an Indian citizen under the constitution unless you are willing to grant the same rights to other Indians (in this case, those who will become new Indians).
They are not like people Sikkim or Arunachal... or even Manipur. In their eyes Mizoram (Nagas too) is already an autonomous country like Bhutan, except it is shown as part of Indian map because their insurgency couldn't oust Indian army.
They are quite sporting about it actually! Kinda like the confederate states post American civil war.

If Khangress wins 2019 & declares all Bangladeshi muzzies as Indians, people of Bengal & Assam will be extremely pissed but won't hold "Bye bye India Welcome China" posters.
But they just don't give a f*ck.

We are going to have a England-Scotland-Ireland relationship with them & Kashmir for few hundred years, if situation cold down & they get their development.
Not many secessionists in USA today.

So there was a complete Boycott of R day in Mizoram yesterday and protest with placard saying bye bye india and welcome china were apparently carried by protesters ..Looks like NE issues are not going to settle down any sooner even if there is going to huge improvement in development of infrastructure and economy ..
Ah China. A country known for safeguarding its minorities and their traditions. Fucking lol.

Chill , nothing to worry

Too much exaggeration

There is a very big gap between media / vested group fed perceptions and the actual ground realities. It may not be too rosy but it definitely isn't that worse

I would be worried about Kerala , Bengal and Tamilnadu to some extent. Just becz nothing dramatic is happening does not mean all is well. Most dangerous changes are those which escape notice as they happen slowly in bits and pieces over a very long period of time.

And importantly what is more worrisome

Maintaining status quo in a house from a position of weakness ?

Or

Slowly losing control of a house from a position of strength ?

Do you know Henry Kissinger was a avid reader of Arthashastra.

In his book World Order Henry Kissinger refers to the arthashastra as a work that lays out the requirements of power, which is the dominant reality in modern geopolitics.

For Kissinger, the arthashastra contained a realist vision of politics long before The Prince, which Kissinger deems a combination of Machiavelli and Clausewitz

German sociologist Max Weber goes a step further and calls Arthashastra “truly radical ‘Machiavellianism’ . . . compared to it, Machiavelli’s The Prince is harmless.”

Arthashastra also has section on punishment for crimes in those days when it was written.

When it comes to sex related offences
I must say some of the people back then were definitely kinky :pound:

Apologies for the off topic post

Speaking of sex , try to read book by al Bruni on Islamic culture / practices prevalent around 1000 ad in the Islamic kingdoms then

It's mind boggling , such chutiyapantis

Eg. he mentions a trick used by Islamic women of that period to fool their newly wed husband's about their virginity .

They use the skin of a new born chicken to make a pouch filled with chicken blood and inserted into v***** just before the new husband is ready to enter the bedroom.

After copulation

Husband be like mashallah fresh mal choda hai

Wife be like begane shadi me abdula dewana :pound::pound::pound:

Anyways if one is a bookworm then try to read books authored in old times , the older the better .

The are both entertaining , informative and contain lots of things to learn , the writers then were straight forward , no bullshit or prejudiced nor be like phara likha anpar gawars like the presstitudes / writers of modern times.

The only books that are worth reading are the old ones. Right now, there is a trend of people writing books as a PR exercise. The essence in those books can be condensed into not more than one blog post. I never understood people who have 100's of books on their shelf/list. Bhai itne acche books hee nahi hai. They're reading those personal blog post type books written by liberal arts people with no specific domain expertise. Not that books should only be technical; Some of the best books are philosophical, but let's admit it, even Twinkle Khanna calls herself an "author". Such books have flooded the market.

@Bhumihar Get this one >> The Antichrist (Fredrick Neitzsche)

The arguments of the Antichrist can be seen as an extension of the argument seen in Darwin's Origin of Species, which argues that the fundamental system that pushes evolution along is the survival of the fittest. In The Antichrist, Nietzsche expounds on the philosophical and religious applications of that natural view. The book begins by thrusting Christian morality upside-down, claiming that the only true moral is power, and weakness the only true evil.
My personal favorite is The Intelligent Investor (Ben Graham).

This also I be recommend you at your age. It's potentially a life changer if it clicks.

And not a frikkin word on Bose and the INA - the main architect of our independence. It's the Nehru-Gandhi duo all the way!
These things are slow because it takes time to build public narrative. If he does it too soon, the foreign press will label him as a fascist and the gullible domestic audience will fall for it.

Just a week ago he renamed the Andaman Nicobar islands as Shaheed and Swaraj, which were the original names given to them by Netaji. This was the entry point where his army first set foot and secured the first patch of liberated India. Hopefully, we get to a point in the future when we could disband 15 August as our "Independence day" since it only extends a colonial narrative of the administration being handed over to us by our colonial masters out of generosity. It also peddles the under current that India only came into being as an act of British parliament and it didn't exist as one nation for thousands of years. The day Netaji set liberated the first patch of land must be our Independence day. Also, get rid of the secular national song written by that British chaploos Tagore. Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja should be our anthem. Similarly currency note must be amended to replace Duratma with Bose.

There are harder things like when the thousands of INA soldiers arrived in Nehru's Independent India, they were stripped of their medals and accolades and kept on an intel watch list. Obviously this was done by Indian coolies in the intel services. A lot of them are alive. That's the uncomfortable truth we don't want to believe because we think the intel can do no wrong. The same intel kept Congress in power for 7 decades.

FINS has taken it to heart that the 26k INA soldiers who were martyred fighting the British will have their names engraved on a new memorial. Parading INA soldiers was just the first of many steps.

We used to have this old coin in 1996 :

Proposed design for the new coin :

#The 35 gram coin will be composed of 50 per cent silver, 40 per cent copper, and 5 per cent each of nickel and zinc.

#This coin will bear the portrait of 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose' saluting the flag on the background of cellular jail.

#A numeral 75th along with inscription “anniversary” will be depicted below the portrait.
