Captain Saurabh Kalia and other Indian soldiers underwent extreme torture before being killed by Pakistan Army.

Video shows Pak soldier narrating story of his encounter with Kargil martyr Capt Kalia

A video taken during a Pakistani army function reportedly shows a soldier sharing details of an encounter in which Captain Saurabh Kalia, and five of his platoon members, were killed in 1999 just before the Kargil war broke out.

Captain Kalia and other soldiers were captured by Pakistan and allegedly tortured brutally during the war that lasted from May to July in 1999. The 23-year-old from the 4 Jat Regiment was the first Indian Army officer to observe and report the large-scale intrusion by the Pakistani Army into the Indian side of the Line of Control in the Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir. He and the five others were captured on May 15, 1999 and were in captivity for more than 20 days.

When their bodies were handed over to India, the autopsy reports revealed extreme torture including cigarette burns, ear drums pierced with hot iron rods and amputated limbs.

Not surprising at all. Certain things stand out in the video though,

1) They consider what they did bravery.
2) Look at the degenerates clapping.
3) Look at that subhuman's face.
4) They are trying hard to peddle that the 1:10 ghazi BS.

The anchor guy looks like he wasn't paid enough to be there.

I do not understand the meaning of this thread. What do you mean that capt. Kalia INDEED tortured to death? His body was recieved in such a condition that even a blind man wud have made out the amount of torture that was given to him and his fellow soldiers.

Paki Soldier brags about torturing to death of Saurabh Kalia

Video shows Pak soldier narrating story of his encounter with Kargil martyr Capt Kalia

Headlines Today Bureau New Delhi, July 31, 2013 | UPDATED 16:33 IST

Kargil War hero - Captain Saurabh Kalia - was indeed tortured to death as he was held a prisoner of war (PoW) along with few others by the Pakistani soldiers in 1999, a video that has emerged recently shows.

The footage of a Pakistan Army function shows the soldier, Naik Gule Khandan, claiming to have killed Capt Kalia and five of his platoon members as he shares details of the encounter.

Capt Kalia was killed just before the Kargil War broke out. Though the authenticity of the video could not be verified, Khandan's claims are certainly explosive.

The video, posted on YouTube comes as yet another shameful example of how Pakistan not only betrayed India over the truth behind Capt Kalia's death, but has ever since been boasting of how they killed India's brave.

Capt Kalia and other soldiers were captured by Pakistani troops and tortured during the war that lasted from May to July in 1999. The 23-year-old from 4 Jat Regiment was the first Indian Army officer to observe and report the large scale intrusion by Pakistan Army into the Indian side of Line of Control (LoC) in Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Capt Kalia and five others were captured on May 15, 1999 and were in captivity for more than 20 days. When their bodies were handed over to India, the autopsy reports revealed extreme torture, including cigarette burns, piercing of ear drums with hot iron rods and amputated limbs.

However, Pakistan's defence always remained bizarre, even stooping to the illogical level of blaming inclement weather for Capt Kalia's death. The then interior minister, Rehman Malik, had said: "When a fight is going on at the border, we really do not know whether he (Capt Kalia) died of a Pakistani bullet or weather."

Centre ignores SC notice

Ironically, the Indian government has also ignored the demand for justice by the late army officer's family.

In December 2012, when Capt Kalia's father had approached the Supreme Court pleading that the case of his torture be transferred to the International Court of Justice, the apex court had issued a notice to the Centre. The SC had on December 14 issued a notice to the government giving it 10 weeks to respond.

However, the ministries of defence and external affairs have not responded to the notice till date, more than 30 weeks after the notice was issued.

Should send them the corpses of paki piglets still rotting in kargil. Or did we burn them? The naga or assam regiment did eat some of the pathans who were shitting in their pants.

Even after more than a decade the Kalia family has been trying to get justice from the government and to highlight the war crimes that were committed against their son and other Indian soldiers. Dr N.K. Kalia, his father has been following his son's case and wants the act to be declared a war crime by the UN, and the people responsible for the war crimes punished as per the rulings of the Geneva Convention. However, numerous letters to the Centre have failed to move the government to pursue the matter with the world body. Five other soldiers were tortured and killed along with Capt Kalia. "I am ashamed of being an Indian. The country has spineless leaders" said N.K. Kalia.

On 14 December 2012 Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik expressed that Captain Kalia may have died because of weather conditions.

On 15 June 1999 The Deputy high commissioner of the Pakistani Embassy in New Delhi was summoned and a notice for the breach of the Geneva Convention was submitted for the torture and killing of the prisoners of War during the Kargil War. The then minister of external affairs Jaswant Singh raised the issue with Sartaj Aziz, former foreign minister of Pakistan for the identification and punishment of the guilty, but Pakistan continues to deny the charges of torture.

This guy is talking as if he did a great act of kindness by "returning the body". He completely fails to mention the part where Captain Kalia was tortured and his dead body mutilated. The third rated Jihadi pig is trying to pretend that he is an honorable soldier. Well in Pakistan they are one and the same.
