Ram Mandir design should have been extra ordinary. But headstrong Hindu leaders stuck their head in sand and came up with an ordinary design. They in fact need a new architect. The mandirs designed by ISCON, especially the one in West Bengal is extraordinary. They should have hired them as artchitechs.

This one looks like it was designed by a cut throat with the intention of converting it into a tomb for someone or mosque later when they become majority in Bengal.

1000 years and still standing tall and breathtaking architecture . ISCKON don't exactly reflect our civilisation greatness when it comes to temple for sure .

PM Modi likely to attend ‘Bhumi Pujan’ for Ram temple in Ayodhya on August 5
Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti met on Sunday to discuss details about the ceremony and designs for the proposed temple in Ayodhya.

On August 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to become a part of perhaps the most momentous event in the history of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) or the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP).

Sources in the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) told India Today that the 'Bhumi Pujan' (Hindu ceremony before the beginning of any construction) for the sanctum sanctorum of the proposed Ram Janmabhoomi temple at Ayodhya is likely to be held on August 5. The PM may attend the ceremony after which work on the foundation for the temple will commence, they added.

Members of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti met on Sunday to finalise a date for the 'Bhumi Pujan'. It was decided that the most auspicious dates for commencement of construction fell between August 3 and 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi could join the crucial event between 11 AM and 1 PM on August 5 while rituals will begin that day at 8 AM, sources in the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti hinted.

Proposals for Ram Janmabhoomi temple

Concerned authorities reached the conclusion that the site is ready for 'Bhumi Pujan' which was delayed owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Levelling work at the construction site has also concluded. The next step involves laying down a foundation for the temple.

For constructing of a temple 160 feet high, the plan is to dig as deep as 60 metres to ascertain suitability of soil and location. The temple may have five domes as against the three proposed earlier.

PMO yet to confirm availability

Following the meet in Ayodhya, two probable dates were conveyed to the prime minister's office (PMO) and a final decision in this regard is awaited. There has been no official confirmation from the PMO about the visit as of yet. Chief of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, Mahant Nrityagopal Das had last month sent a letter to PM Modi inviting him for the 'Bhumi Pujan'.

A broad blueprint of the PM's participation in these rituals has been drawn, sources within the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said. They added that if the PM joins the ceremony, he could lay the foundation in the auspicious 'Abhijaat Mahurta'. The Prime Minister could also establish a 'kalash' (vessel) made of copper, containing holy water from rivers like the Ganges and a few precious stones.

To ward off evil forces and to pay respect to Hindu gods, small silver figurines of a male-female snake and a tortoise may be buried at the construction site. As per Vedic rituals, five 'shilas' (stones/bricks) will be worshipped during the ceremony.

Sources indicated that there could be a political message behind the PMO picking August 5 as the date of the visit. Later this year, August 5 will mark one year since the virtual abrogation of Article 370. The special status accorded to Jammu and Kashmir was removed and two separate Union Territories were created in its place (Ladakh, J&K).

"Among the top three key agendas of the Sangh Parivar, two were the abrogation of Article 370 and construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya. If the PM becomes part of the 'Bhumi Pujan' on August 5, the day would become historic for us and the followers," a senior RSS functionary told India today.

Meeting of Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti

A meeting to discuss the way ahead was chaired by Nripendra Mishra, chairman of the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti on Saturday. Mishra is a former Principal Secretary to PM Narendra Modi. The meeting was organised with five key agendas up for discussion. These included the dates for the 'Bhumi Pujan', confirmation on the PM's participation, design of the sanctum sanctorum, proposals for construction on the 70-acre site and a Sita temple within the same complex.

Interestingly, General Secretary of the Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti Trust Champat Rai told India Today that once the monsoon season is over, 10 crore people in four lakh blocks of the country will be approached for collection of financial aid for the temple. A design for the 'garbh griha' or sanctum sanctorum will be finalised and the temple is expected to be ready in 36 to 42 months, Rai added.

Iqbal Ansari, one of the key litigants in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute, said after the meeting on Sunday, "I would like to welcome the Prime Minister. All residents of Ayodhya, including Muslims and Hindu saints are on the same page over temple construction."

Ram Mandir would meet ‘Hagia Sophia’ fate: Terrorist Azhar Published

July 20, 2020 | By admin SOURCE:

The Pioneer. Banned Pakistani terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad’s Chief Maulana Masood Azhar has in a statement welcomed conversion of Hagia Sophia musuum into a mosque in Turkey and expressed hope that Ram Mandir in Ayodhya would also become a mosque at some point in time. Ayodhya has been on the radar of the JeM for a long time and Azhar had issued a video in 2018 threatening to return the then defunct mosque to the Muslims. The issue has also been exploited by the terror outfits, including JeM, to recruit a section of the gullible youth from a particular community to join their ranks to further their nefarious agenda in the country. This besides, such fault lines are also exploited by the Pakistan Army-ISI and their jehadi cohorts to get traction of the fringe elements of the minority community to disturb harmony by enlisting their support for logistics and supporting their sleeper cells to carry out terror attacks. The JeM has been responsible for major terror attacks in India beginning from the hit on the Parliament House in 2001 to Pathankot Air Base and Army Base in Uri (2016) and Pulwama (2019) among others. Intelligence assessments here suggest the Jaish could target multiple controversial religious sites in the region, including in India, ahead of Muslim festival of Bakrid later this month. The Intelligence agencies are seized of the issue and counter-measures are being planned accordingly, sources said. Interestingly, Azhar has also justified the hostage taking of people, including seven Chinese engineers, at Lal Masjid in 2007. China had defended Azhar against India’s bid to ban him by the United Nations. Azhar is also believed to be harbouring some Uyghur groups that are waging a struggle against Chinese oppression in the Xinjiang province. Meanwhile, the Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) or the Pakistani Taliban has upped the ante against the Pakistani security forces and fatally hitting them almost on a daily basis. The outfit is also opposed against exploitation of the local resources by the Chinese through mining rights and other projects in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The Paksitan-Army and ISI have also formed fictitious Baloch groups to target Chinese interests and extract more funds from Beijing to provide security to their business interests, a counter-terrorism expert said. The TTP operates along the Pak-Afghan border inhabited largely by the tribals and is opposed to the oppression of their lot by the Pakistani Army and other agencies. The way Azhar has forcefully mentioned Hagia Sophia, Babri Masjid and Lal Masjid in his speeches and internal communication indicates the terror group, under the patronage of the ISI, has hatched a grand conspiracy to execute some major nefarious designs. During the last six months, both Azhar and Lashkar-e-Tayyaba have praised the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan about five to six times. This could be an indication that the terror masterminds see a godfather in Erdogan.
