me personally have no expectations from quad. with so much modi phobia and India phobia in Washington DC, it will always bound to be one step forward and two steps backward.

There is no phobia per se in relations, it, s all optics IMO. Fact remains that US alone cannot control China.. They need us more than we need US. More over with recent uttering of CCP, nuking Japan et all.. . Will have alarm bells ringing in WH.... Taiwan need to be protected too...

I’ll put it this way, the pro-China lobby in US & Washington is more powerful and resourceful than QUAD lobby.

both their coasts east and west, has made a lot of money on China in past 30 years. they also control the global public opinion via MSM & SM. resistance to quad is bound to be immense.

As I keep saying, US foreign policy is not one monolithic entity. It is a amalgamation of interest groups, which ever interest group prevails at that point in time that version of foreign policy will prevail.

GoI cannot match the lobbying power of pro China interest group in US.

Not saying quad chapter is closed, I’m saying quad progress will be slow.
