Part 3....
the details of early serial production batch and Problems.
since 1997,we have collected many pix of the early batchs(models)...the following ones demonstrate the status with Attachment(standard)
1.bayonet ...2.Optical sight...4.low-light level night sight...5.Rifle Grenade...6. 35mm under-slung grenade launcher(QLG91B 35mm GL)
here's the Details of a
early model (before 2003) and after years' usage , this one is close to the end of life. and with this group of images, I would like to introduce some common weakness and design flaw from the feedback of Users.
this image of front sight has been quoted ...there is 2 small bumps on the sight protection where phosphor dot is placed for the aiming at night.
problem: the working life of phosphor dot seems not long enough ,and they are easy got lost after some time
--------------------
the rear sight(hindsight) and dovetail rail which is used to have the Optical sights mounted.
Problem: nowadays, the' Picatinny rail' is the most common rail for most sights and other Tactical accessories(Laser gunsight, Tactical light). unfortunately QBZ95 can't have those fitted without proper conversion device...
the rifile was designed in early 1990's , at that time the optical sights were not as popular as today...the iron sight is primary sight method...the hight of the sights is optimized for this. but when the optical sights is mounted, the line of sight seems high. especially in the Night sight case...
