Also for Facebook getting Indian Data, they won't get anything significant till the Servers and Data centers are located in India.
I know Jio is heading for a monopoly but this was a necessary evil we are too dependent on foreign sectors for Telcom and a immediate push was needed to relocate the sector to home.

As for BSNL incurring losses maybe they should have tried launching 4g before talking shit down on masses. Years and years of leeching off on tax payers money and still using tech from China.

Why they never formed their own R&D cell is beyond me.

In the future I hope more Telecom giants come into play and give jio a tough competion.

Jio: 80% Indian
Vodafone Idea: Biral Group India 50%, Vodafone Britain 50%

These are the 18 sectors that have been identified as ‘strategic’ for India by Modi govt

According to the plan, in strategic sectors, there will be a maximum of four public sector units and a minimum of one unit operating. The govt plans to exit the rest.

But then as we have seen from Kejriwal(I will not join politics) to crypto jew Imran khan type mini colour revolutions, significantly making use of social media, with similar social media tactics the people with ulterior motives accuse others and claim opposite of what are their own real intentions. While opposition itself has been infiltrated/corrupt and destroyed. So for people there are no second or third alternatives (or second or third in line in succession also already co-opted).
So proof of pudding is in eating. Let's see and hope for the best.

It is a well know fact Dirubhais company was collapsing someone invested in his company at the right time and saved him.

Because private companies were using and still using BSNL infrastructure ( thanks to government ) .

3G services were extremely costly and at that time smartphones were not available to masses .


They didn't allotted 4g spectrum to BSNL and will not allot It in near future and give various excuses but never allow it , they didn't allot in march and not allow it in the future and till then private companies will start providing 5G services .

Almost all the telecom companies are either closed (Tata , Aircel , virgin etc ) or facing heavy losses ( Vodafone band Idea ) .
This situation is creating duopoly of Airtel and jio.

It is a fact that government PSUs are not very competent when it come to work (but they DO work). But the issue here is not their comoetency and petty correction. That would be somewhat a diversion from main issue that peoples government should not completely let go off control of strategic assets and should be very transparent about who the real stakeholders are.

e.g. HAL is one of worlds oldest aeronautics manufacturers. The kind of knowledge and ecosystem takes decades to set up. And as we can see from procurement of latest technology, fighters, engines; no nation/superpower gives away core high end technology, even to a closest friendly nation and even after paying exorbitant price. It xant be measured in terms of money and balance sheets that is just paper and comouter code. So you can talk a lot about incompetence, laziness etc. But that would be diversion to real issue that is enough excuse to sell off all this decades old experience and lose control over it? Is there no middle way between complete government monopoly/socialism and simply selling it off (or rather giving it away to some friendly company or even business parteners from so called opposition parties). Why cant private players blossom as competitors on their own merit?

It invested it's resources in rural , less profitable circles while private players invested their resources in only profitable circles ,
They started providing services even after taking losses just to grab market share , government provided loans to private companies Which is responsible for huge NPA Indian banks bare facing ( part of the problem )

This is the reason why almost all those private companies are now bankrupt and closed .

BSNL did get their 4g spectrum which they sold it back when they shifted from WIMAX to LTE.
